Heavenward

Sweet rebirth
from the puddle I once knew
raised to the heavens
by a force unknown to me

Familiar the flow
the air electric
Now anticipation swells
I await release

The moment has come
I tumble down
in a series of graceful flips
ending my journey with a splat and a trickle

I know my life is not over
for I shall soon be lifted heavenward
by a force unknown to me
in a cycle like that of all things
