Hometown Buffet
We had lunch at the Hometown buffet in Niles, Ohio close to where I live on Veterans Day which was also my birthday. They have a senior special where the price is reduced for senior citizens if you eat there from 1-3:30 PM during the week.
This buffet is spectacular with an array of many different country style dishes and salad choices. Some of the choices are baked fish, fried fish, country fried steak, baked and fried chicken, meat loaf, taco fixings, salad fixings, fried shrimp, baked zucchini, country style green beans, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, homemade tender roast beef, with gravy, baked potatoes, carrots and onions.
They also have all different kinds of desserts and beverages which are included in the senior lunch for only $7.00 per person.
One thing that is so great about their food is that it has the best type of country down-home flavoring I have ever tasted. Another great thing is that their chicken breasts are very tender and not one bit dry.
You can tell that they take special care in food preparation and the staff makes sure the serving bins are kept full of fresh food at all times.
I was surprised at how well managed Hometown Buffet was on Veterans’ day because it was packed with regulars and also with a large group of friends and family who just attended a funeral.
Hometown Buffet certainly has my endorsement for the greatest variety and quality of great tasting country style foods.
