Hotel Guide: Asheville, North Carolina

When you’re visiting Asheville, North Carolina, there are several things that are made perfectly clear. It is historically beautiful and wonderfully eclectic. So when you arrive in Asheville, where are you supposed to stay? Well, if you have family, then that’s an option – sometimes – however, if you are wanting to stay where you can completely indulge in relaxation and comfort, than there are three hotels in which you must absolutely choose.

The first hotel is the Renaissance Asheville Hotel. This wonderful twelve-story hotel is sitting adjacent to the Thomas Wolfe Memorial. Need to be close to the civic center? Well, at the Renaissance you are only three blocks away. Inside of the this beautiful hotel, you will be greeted with marble-floored and stunning overstuffed chairs are awaiting your arrival to give your eyes a feast with gorgeous mountain views. Several of the on-site amenities include an indoor lap pool, spa tub, and a fitness center for all work-out needs. Are you a business traveler? Well, than this hotel is perfect for you, not only do they offer beautiful views and relaxation that only a hotel of this caliber can offer, but they also have a professional-grade business center. This hotel offers 281 guestrooms sitting among the twelve stories. Bathrooms have marble vanities and use Lather toiletries. However, one of the greatest aspects of this hotel comes from its quaint southern-hospitality style. Upon check-in they offer all guests complimentary apples.

The second hotel in which I reviewed is SpringHill Suites by Marriott. This three-story hotel is located only five minutes from the Asheville Mall. Some of the highlights of this hotel is the complimentary services that it offers its guests. All of the following are complimentary to guests: business center with computer, printer, and high-speed Internet access as well as wireless high-speed Internet access in the hotel lobby. Some of the other amenities this hotel offers is a fitness center, indoor pool, and spa tub. This hotel offers 88 suites in it’s three-story frame. The suites all provide a sitting area with a sofa bed for those travelers with several individuals, work desks with ergonomic chairs, and pantry kitchenettes with sinks, microwaves, and compact refrigerators. Wireless Internet is also complimentary in all rooms as well as HBO and local phone calls.

And lastly, is the Doubletree Hotel Biltmore. This hotel is located just one block away from the historic Biltmore Estate, a 250-room estate that was built over one-hundred years ago – definitely a must see. This hotel offers such amenities such as an outdoor pool, a fitness center, and just incase the on-site fitness center isn’t enough to get your muscles in peak condition, the hotel offers you a discounted rate at the nearby fully outfitted gym. One of the coolest features is the room service is none other than TGI Fridays – operational during normal business hours. At the Doubletree Hotel Biltmore, you’ll be within walking distance from one of the greatest estates, able to dine on delicious food right in your room, and take in some of the most gorgeous landscaping all of Asheville has to offer. No matter which hotel you decide to go with, you will be more than happy with your decision. Oh heck, why not spend a night in each hotel!
