Hotel Guide: Chattanooga, Tennessee

So you’ve found yourself in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and besides the fact that both the city and the state have quite a few of repeating letters, this city obtains quite a punch! This town is located within the glorious mountains of the Smokey Mountain Range. It is quite obvious that while you are here, you are going to be able to see some of the most amazing nature sights. And there is something else that is amazingly wonderful about this city, the hotels that lie within it. Seeing that there are as many wonderful hotels within Chattanooga as there are trees, I have decided to help everyone out and review the top three hotels of this amazing city. Hope that this guide helps all of you mountaineers.

The first hotel in which I reviewed is the Sheraton Read House Hotel Chattanooga. This classic southern hotel is located in Downtown Chattanooga on the trolley line, and this Chattanooga landmark hotel is across the street from Miller Plaza. This renovated Chattanooga landmark, which is listed as a National Trust Historic hotel of America, is known for its Georgian architectural style and deeply Southern elegance. The clientele is primarily corporate during the week and upscale social on weekends. Some of the various amenity highlights include a complimentary shuttle service to any destination within a fifteen-mile radius of the hotel. Also, all common areas have complimentary wireless Internet access. Are you a businessman that needs to have access to a state-of-the-art business center at three in the morning, than this hotel is just right for you because the business center is open twenty-four hours. Are you health conscious? Than the Sheraton Read House Hotel Chattanooga includes a fitness center and an indoor pool onsite. This hotel offers over 244 guest suites with two 27-inch Tvs, work desks, blackout drapes, and two multiline phones with voice mail and some rooms provide there guests with high-speed Internet access.

The second hotel in which I reviewed is the Chattanooga Marriott at the Convention Center. This sixteen-story downtown hotel is connected to the Chattanooga Convention Center and is only one mile from the lovely and always bustling river. Since the hotel is connected to the Convention Center, it is only miles away to many shops, businesses, and attractions. An electric shuttle, which stops at the hotel, provides complimentary transportation to popular city sights. The second-story restaurant features American fare for all meals, a lobby lounge is open nightly, and room service is available. Onsite recreatioin is available in a fitness room, indoor pool and spa tub, as well as a seasonal outdoor pool. In addition to the facilities at the convention center, the hotel offers eleven meeting rooms, including a ballroom and exhibit halls. Wireless Internet access is complimentary in the lobby and meeting space, and a business center features a computer, printer, and high-speed Internet access at a surcharge. This hotel houses 342 guestrooms in its sixteen-story frame. All guestrooms feature city or mountain views, as well as phones with voice mail. At a surcharge, Dial-Up Internet access and TV-based Internet access are provided. And for those individuals who like to live a little on the comfortable side, there is a turndown service available upon request.

And the last hotel in which I reviewed is the Chattanooga Courtyard I-75 by Marriott. This two-story hotel is adjacent to the 200-plus shops of Hamilton Place Mall, which is only fourteen miles east of downtown Chattanooga. This hotel features an on-site restaurant, which only serves breakfast. For those swimmers, there is a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and also for you fitness buffs there is a exercise room with cardiovascular machines. The Chattanooga Courtyard has one meeting room with space for up to forty people and a small lounge/business center with a computer and complimentary high-speed Internet access. Also, complimentary wireless Internet access is available in he lobby, however network cards are not provided. This hotel features 109 guestrooms in its two-story building. Rooms are arrayed around a central courtyard and accessed by elevators and interior corridors. Several of the amenities include cable TV with pay movies, multi-line phones with voice mail and dial-up Internet access (surcharge for local calls), and complimentary high-speed Internet access.
