Hotel Guide: Hartford, Connecticut
The first hotel in which I reviewed is the Connecticut Grand Hotel. This three-and-a-half star hotel is lavishly appointed with a fireplace and fresh flowers, and the lobby is adjoined with a spacious, and well-landscaped atrium with plenty of seating. The hotel’s central location and wide array of meeting a recreational facilities are a favorite among corporate visitors. Some of the amenities this hotel offers its guests include over 40,000 square feet of event space, an indoor pool, fitness center, basketball/raquetbll court/spa tub, and locker rooms with saunas. This four-story hotel has 284 guestrooms, all of with complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access.
The second hotel in which I reviewed is The Goodwin Hotel. This hotel was a former J.P. Morgan residence and is now a National Historic Landmark. If you are looking for history and a slight touch of beauty, this hotel is for you. The Goodwin Hotel is outfitted with a Queen Anne fa�§ade and it is a very beautiful contrast to the surrounding skyscrapers of Hartford. By far, this has become one Hartfords most recognized and celebrated hotels. Some of the various amenities this hotel offers include a fitness center, room service and a pet-friendly atmosphere. This six-story hotel has 124 guestrooms. All of the guestrooms come with dial-up Internet access, televisions with premium channels, voice mail, as well as complimentary daily newspapers.
And the last hotel in which I reviewed is the Sheraton Hartford Hotel. This three-and-a-half-star hotel is only one mile from the Hartford city center, and if you are visiting only for a short while you’ll love the location of this hotel, as it is only twelve miles from the airport. Some of the amenities this hotel offers is wireless high-speed Internet access in all public and meeting areas for a surcharge, a fitness center and indoor swimming pool, and a business center which offers complimentary high-speed Internet access. This hotel offers 215 guestrooms within its eight-story frame. All guestrooms include wireless and dial-up Internet access, both of which require a surcharge for use. Some other amenities include multi-line phones with voice mail, and electronic check-out. The rooms come with premium TV channels and pay movies.
