Hotel Guide: Jacksonville, Florida
The first hotel in which I reviewed is the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. This four-and-a-half-star hotel was built in 1928, and is only three miles from the Jacksonville Beach Seawalk Pavilion. This absolutely amazing hotel is perfect for those visitors who are wanting to indulge themselves in all that is Jacksonville. Some of the various amenities this hotel provides its guests includes four swimming pools, which consists one lap pool. There is also a health spa, a 36-hole golf course, 15 tennis courts, and a fitness center for those of you who are wanting to stay in shape while at the beach. Traveling on business? Well, you can take advantage of business center and conference rooms. Need transportation from the airport to the hotel? Well, for a surcharge the hotel can arrange it for you. This hotel has 250 guestrooms and 45 suites. All rooms have a kitchenette and balcony or patio with oceanfront view. Some of the various in-room amenities include dial-up and high-speed Internet access, local calls, and daily newspapers – all of which are complimentary.
The second hotel in which I reviewed is the Omni Jacksonville Hotel. This four-star hotel is a business-oriented downtown high-rise, which caters to the business class of guests. When guests enter this sixteen-story hotel, they are greeted by old-world charm with marble floors, rich wood furnishings, overstuffed chairs, and a mural depicting scenes from Jacksonville’s eclectic history. This hotel primarily attracts business travelers and conventioneers with its downtown location. Are you in town for a convention? Well, this hotel is absolutely perfect for you, it is only four blocks from the convention center. Some of the amenities this hotel offers its guests includes complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access in the hotel lobby, a business center, and 24-hour room service. There is over 14,000 square feet of conference space. Some other amenities include a fitness center and outdoor splash pool, and discounted access is provided to a health club two blocks away. This hotel has 354 guestrooms, all of which feature complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access. Some of the other in-room amenities include complimentary premium channels, coffeemakers, and complimentary weekday newspapers.
And the last hotel in which I reviewed is the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville. This three-star hotel is close to shops, entertainment, and the stadium. This hotel was renovated in 2006, and is located in downtown Jacksonville and is very popular for business travelers and those wanting to experience all that is downtown Jacksonville. When guests enter this hotel’s massive lobby, they are immediately greeted by the river, in which it overlooks. Some of the various amenities this hotel offers its guests include a rooftop splash pool and spa tub with panoramic views of the river. There is also a fitness center that includes a stationary bikes, treadmills, free weights, and a sauna – all of which overlooks the river. There is also complimentary wireless Internet access in all public spaces, a restaurant, sports bar, and a business center. This nineteen story hotel consists of 966 guestrooms, with views of St. John’s River or the city. All guestrooms include high-speed Internet access for a surcharge, cable TV, multi-line phones, and coffeemakers.
