Hotel Guide: Jamaica, New York

So you have found yourself in Jamaica, New York? Well, this city is a borough of Queens in New York and was settled first as a town by the English under Dutch rule in 1656. This borough is one of the most eclectic borough’s in New York. So, no matter why you have found yourself here, you are going to be in need of one really important thing – an absolutely amazing hotel. The first hotel in which I reviewed is the Doubletree Hotel JFK Airport. This three-star hotel is located only twelve miles from midtown New York City. As guests enter this hotel, they are greeted by a lobby with a marble floor inset with geometric designs. This hotel mainly caters to business travelers, families, and those who are wanting to stay at a modern hotel, which is still “cozy.” This hotel is located with easy access to JFK and Manhattan, however, it is distanced enough to provide a well-needed rest. Some of the various amenities this hotel offers its guests includes a twenty-four-hour business center and a fitness room with treadmills, stair steppers, and free weights. This hotel also offers complimentary airport transportaion to JFK every thirty minutes, twenty-four-hours-a-day. This hotel has 386 guestrooms, all of which feature high-speed Internet access for a surcharge, two dual-line phones, and complimentary newspapers.

The second hotel in which I reviewed is the Fairfield Inn JFK Airport. This three-star-hotel is only one mile from JFK International Airport, and is only twelve miles from Shea Stadium and 13 miles from midtown Manhattan. This hotel is always seemingly bustling with travelers, due to its amazing location to the airport and all other major locations. Some of the various amenities this hotel offers its guests includes a business center, which has complimentary wireless Internet access. There is also a complimentary shuttle service to the airport. This hotel has 110 guestrooms, all which come with sound-resistant windows, complimentary dial-up and high-speed Internet access, multi-line phones with voicemail, cable television with complimentary premium channels, and complimentary weekday newspapers.

And the last hotel in which I reviewed is the Courtyard by Marriott JFK Airport. This three-star-hotel is literally directly outside the entrance to JFK Airport. So it is of no surprise that this hotel is extremely popular with travelers of all types. Some of the various amenities this hotel offers its guests includes an exercise room with cardio machines. There is also approximately 900 square-feet of function space, which can accommodate groups of up to 40 people. There is also complimentary airport transportation provided twenty-four-hours-a-day. This hotel has 166 guestrooms in its 14-story building. All of the rooms come with multi-line phones with free local calls and dial-up Internet access, cable television with pay movies, and high-speed Internet access, which is available for a surcharge.
