Hotel Guide: Little Rock, Arizona

So you’ve found yourself in the capital and largest city of Arkansas, Little Rock. Well, there is absolutely nothing little about this town. It is located in the central part of Arkansas, and it is named from a small rock formation on the south bank of the Arkansas River called “La Petite Roche” or “Little Rock.” And this rock formation was used by early river travelers as a landmark and become a well-known river crossing point. So, ever since the beginning of this city, it has been formatted for visitors. And just because travelers no longer use the rock formation to guide themselves, does not mean that Little Rock is less visited. This is why there is a multitude of hotels for guests picking. Well, I have researched and reviewed the top three of these hotels for your consideration. Hope you find this useful in your “Little” vacation planning.

The first hotel in which I reviewed is The Peabody Little Rock. This four-star hotel is located in downtown Little Rock, and rests on the banks of the Arkansas River, and is only a mere ten miles from Little Rock National Airport. The hotel is architecturally contemporary, as it is outfitted in red-brick-and-glass on its exterior. This hotel is nothing but “little,” as it has over 40,000 square feet of function space and it connects to the Little Rock Statehouse Convention Center, which makes this hotel perfect for convention goers. The hotel has 440 rooms, all with views of the Arkansas River, the Capitol, downtown, or the hotel’s dramatic atrium. All rooms have separate sitting areas, premium bedding, high-speed Internet access, and bathroom telephones.

The second hotel in which I reviewed is the famous, The Capital Hotel. This downtown hotel is only two blocks away from the Riverfront park, and sits across the street from the Statehouse Convention Center. So it is no wonder that this hotel is another hot spot for convention goers of all ages. Need to check your e-mail? Well, this hotel has complimentary wireless Internet access throughout the entire building. There is also an onsite restaurant that offers 24-hour room service. This four-story hotel offers 128 guestrooms, all of which have 12-foot ceilings, 100% Egyptian cotton linens, and down pillows. Guestrooms include complimentary wireless Internet access, multi-line phones with voice mail, and cable TV with free HBO.

And the last hotel in which I reviewed is the La Quinta Inn & Suites Little Rock Downtown. This downtown hotel is less than a mile from the Clinton Presidential Library, State Capitol, and Robinson Convention Center. So this hotel is absolutely perfect for families who want to stay in style, and yet don’t want to spend a fortune. Business travelers will appriciate the business center, which has over 5,000 square feet of meeting facilities, and catering service. Guests can work out in the on-site fitness center or relax by the outdoor swimming pool. The hotel also offers complimentary shuttle service to the airport, and self-parking is free on site. This twelve story hotel has 260 guestrooms, which include complimentary high-speed Internet access. Guestrooms also include a 27-inch flat-screen television with full cable.
