Hotel Guide: Palm Springs, California

Palm Springs, California – when one thinks about this location, there is a plethora of thoughts that come to their mind. Some being of the beautiful weather, the warmth of the sun shining down through the ever-present palm trees. Others being of the mountain ranges that rest nearby. But, there is a thought that very few people think of until its too late – what hotel are you going to stay in? Well, there are literally hundreds of great hotels in Palm Springs, but there are very few amazing hotels. This is why I have researched and reviewed the top three hotels within Palm Springs for your consideration. I hope that you find this informative and fun!

The first hotel in which I reviewed is the Miramonte Resort and Spa. This four-star hotel rests on the east side of Palm Springs, and is decorated in a elegant Mediterranean-style. When guests first arrive at this hotel they are immediately greeted by golf courses, seeing that the resort is surrounded by them. Some of the amenities this hotel has to offer its guests include family and adult spa tubs and two swimming pools, which are opened year-round. Other amenities include an indoor and outdoor treatments from the spa, as well as exercise classes to keep you in shape, even when you’re vacationing. This hotel has 215 guestrooms and suites, all of which are nonsmoking. This hotel is twelve-stories, but it does not have an elevator, something to keep in mind. All rooms feature TV’s with pay movies and video games, as well as complimentary wireless Internet access.

The second hotel in which I reviewed is the La Quinta Golf Resort & Spa – The Waldorf-Astoria Collection. This four-star hotel was first opened in 1926, and is set against the Santa Rosa Mountain and is only ten miles from Palm Desert and only twenty-two miles from Palm Springs. This hotel is popular with corporate gatherings due to the fact that the style of the rooms are private and yet inviting. Some of the amenities that are included at this hotel include preferential access to five championship golf courses, which is only a five minute walk from the resorts main grounds. The resort also features twenty-three tennis courts, forty-two swimming pools, fifty-two spa tubs, as well as recreational activities such as aerobics and yoga, both of which are supervised by certified instructors. This hotel offers 920 guestrooms, which spread throughout the resort. Many rooms include private patios or balconies, and all rooms have outdoor lounge chairs and tables. Each room offers cable TV with pay movies, as well as high-speed Internet access.

And the last hotel in which I reviewed is the Hotel Zoso. This four-star hotel is extremely contemporary, and is located within the heart of downtown Palm Springs Village, only one block from the shopping district and Spa Casino. Some of the onsite amenities this hotel offers its guests include an outdoor swimming pool and spa tub, as well as a full-service health spa. Are you in need of airport transportation? Well, the hotel offers transportation to and from the resort. There is a $9.00 daily resort fee, which is collected at checkout. This fee includes airport transportation, wireless Internet access, local calls, two pages of incoming or outgoing faxes, turndown service, and valet parking. Definitely a great deal. This hotel consists of 165 guestrooms and 5 suites, all of which include a furnished balcony or patio with views of the pool or mountains. All rooms are equipped with a 42-inch Plasma TV with premium cable channels and pay movies. Complimentary high-speed Internet access, both wired and wireless, and an MP3 docking station is included in all rooms.
