Hotel Guide: Santa Barbara, California

So you have found yourself in Santa Barbara, California. And besides wanting to bask in its beautiful landscapes and such, you are also wanting to stay in a beautiful hotel. Well, here at Santa Barbara, there is absolutely no shortage of amazing hotels, and even more amazing amenities which all of these hotels come with. So I have researched and reviewed the top three of these hotels for your review. So sit back, relax and enjoy reading about these amazing hotels.

The first hotel in which I reviewed is the Simpson House Inn. This five-star hotel is a Victorian gem which rests on a tree-lined residential street, and it’s only a half-mile from State Street and a mile from the beach. So if it is location that you are seeking, this hotel is absolutely amazing. Probably, one of the greatest things about this hotel is its ability to give you an “at home” feel, but yet, it still has all of the services that make hotels great! The Simpson house was built by Scotsman Robert Simpson in 1874. This house has also been honored with a Structure of Merit Award, as well as Landmark statues by the Landmarks Commission for the hotels unique architecture and period setting. This hotel was fully restored and modernized, and some of the amenities the hotel offers its guests are wireless Internet access, spa services, and complimentary bicycles. For the casual business traveler, the Simpson House Inn also provides meeting and banquet facilities. The inn offers 15 rooms, each unique in design and layout. All of the rooms provide its guests with complimentary wireless Interne access, refrigerators, VCRs, and complimentary daily newspapers.

The second hotel in which I reviewed is four-star Hotel Andalucia. This hotel is far from the previous hotel, as it is located amid the shops and eateries of downtown Santa Barbara. Some of the various amenities this hotel includes is on the six floor of the hotel is an outdoor swimming pool, spa tub, and fireplace. Also, for those guests who forgot their computers, laptop computers are available at the front desk. Also, wired and wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel for a surcharge. Are you in need for a good workout? Well, the hotel offers its guests discount gym passes for the full-service gym next door. This six-story hotel is comprised of 97 guestrooms. All guestrooms include desks, coffee makers, mini-bars, and phones with voice mail. Also, wireless and wired Internet access is available in all rooms for a surcharge, but all local calls are free.

And the last hotel in which I reviewed is the four-star Harbor View Inn. This oceanfront hotel is located in downtown Santa Barbara, and it sits across from Stearns Wharf and is less than three miles from the zoo. Some of the amenities this hotel offers its guests include an outdoor swimming pool, as well as a children’s swimming pool, spa tub, poolside bar, and free parking. There is also complimentary wireless Internet access throughout the entire hotel. This hotel has 86 guestrooms and 10 suites, all of which are accessed through outside corridors. Some of the in-room amenities include cable TV with pay movies and premium channels, refrigerators, complimentary newspapers, and multi-line phones with voice mail.
