Hotel Guide: Wilimington, North Carolina

So you’ve found yourself in Wilmington, North Carolina? Well, there is no wonder why you are here, because Wilmington is one beautiful city. It is settled on the Cape Fear River, and is located in North Carolina’s Inner Banks region. This town is known for its attractions and activity. Wilmington is home to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, as well as the Cape Fear Museum. The city has also become a major center of American film and television production; motion pictures such as The Crow and Blue Velvet as well as television shows such as Dawson’s Creek and One Tree Hill were/are produced here. So whether you are a future college student, a budding Hollywood starlet, or just an individual who is wanting to take in the beautiful scenery – Wilmington has a spot for you. Seeing that you are in need of a place to sleep, I have researched and reviewed the top three hotels in Wilmington for your consideration.

The first hotel in which I reviewed is the Hilton Wilmington Riverside. This three-and-a-half-star-hotel rests on the shore of the Cape Fear River in the midst of Wilmington’s historic district, and this hotel is also only six blocks from Chandler’s Wharf. Some of the various amenities this hotel offers its guests includes access to the business center and a fitness center, which both of them are opened twenty-four-hours-a-day. There is also complimentary wireless Internet access available in the public areas of the hotel. For those of you who are wanting to soak up the sun, there is an outdoor swimming pool for your enjoyment. The hotel also offers its guests complimentary airport transportation. This hotel has 274 guestrooms in its two nine-story towers. Some of the various in-room amenities this hotel offers its guests includes large work desks, complimentary wireless Internet access, complimentary HBO, coffeemakers, hair dryers, and irons/ironing boards.

The second hotel in which I reviewed is the Courtyard by Marriott. This solid three-star-hotel rests only five miles southeast of Wrightsville Beach, and the University of North Carolina campus is only and-and-a-half-miles away. Some of the various amenities this hotel offers its guests includes complimentary wireless Internet access, which is available in all public spaces. There is also a business center with a computer and complimentary high-speed Internet access. There is also an on-site fitness room, seasonal outdoor swimming pool, an outdoor spa tub, and complimentary passes are provided to Gold’s Gym. This hotel has 128 guestrooms, all of which come with complimentary wireless Intenret access, multi-line phones with voicemail, and complimentary weekday newspapers. This entire hotel is nonsmoking.

And the last hotel in which I reviewed is the Wingate Inn – Wilmington. This three-star-hotel is situated within five miles of the Wilmington International Airport and Westfield Shoppingtown. Some of the various amenities this hotel offers its guests includes a twenty-four-hour business center, which comes with a computer outfitted with complimentary high-speed Internet access, printer, fax and photocopy machines, office supplies, and complimentary wired and wireless Internet access. There is also a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. This hotel has 100 guestrooms, all of which include work desks, complimentary high-speed wired and wireless Internet access, multi-line phones with voicemila, and complimentary newspaper delivery.
