Hotel Guide: Winston-Salem, North Carolina

So you have found yourself in Winston – Salem, North Carolina? Well, first off, this is only one city that has two names, confusing, I know. However, the size of this city is that of two, thus many individuals think that it is two completely different cities. Winston-Salem is the fifth largest city in the state, and is home to such colleges as Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem State University, North Carolina School of the Arts, Salem College and the Winston-Salem Bible School. With so many schools in this city, there are literally hundreds of hotels that one can choose from. Thus, I have researched and reviewed the top three hotels for your consideration.

The first hotel in which I reviewed is the Courtyard by Marriott Hanes Mall. This three-star-hotel is located only three miles from downtown Winston-Salem, thus making it perfectly situated in this wonderful city. Some of the various amenities this hotel offers its guests includes a seasonal outdoor swimming pool as well as an indoor spa tub and fitness center. This hotel also has complimentary wireless Internet access, which is available in the lobby. Also, parking for this hotel is completely free. This four-story hotel has 122 guestrooms, all of which offer complimentary wireless Internet access and cable television with premium channels. There are also coffeemakers hair dryers, and irons with boards. One other tip, is that smoking is not allowed inside of this hotel.

The second hotel in which I reviewed is the Wingate Inn – Winston Salem. This three-star-hotel is situated just off Interstate0, and is only a half-mile from downtown Winston Salem, and is only two-and-a-half-miles from Wake Forest University. Some of the various amenities this hotel offers its guests includes complimentary high-speed and wireless Internet access, a breakfast buffet, and discounted access at a nearby health club. There is also a spa tub, as well as complimentary airport transportation available to all guests. On-site, there is also a business center as well as a fitness center outfitted with various fitness equipment. This hotel has 112 guestrooms, all of which come with complimentary high-speed and wireless Internet access, complimentary local calls. There is also microwaves, complimentary premium television channels, and video-game consoles.

And the last hotel in which I reviewed is the Marriott Winston-Salem. This three-star-hotel rests adjacent to the Boston Convention Center, as well as it is only one mile from Old Salem and three miles from Wake Forest University. Some of the various amenities this hotel offers its guests includes, a glass-enclosed swimming pool with a sundeck, a fitness center business center, and a restaurant. There is also a complimentary shuttle service to and from downtown businesses. This hotel has 14,0000-square-feet of flexible meeting space. This hotel also has 315 guestrooms, all of which come with complimentary wireless Internet access, premium cable channels, and multi-linen telephones.
