Houston Kid’s Summer Camps 2006

Looking to keep your kids occupied and also provide a bit of education this summer while they’re away from the school halls? These summer camps are entertaining yet full of informative activities! Check them out!

Camp Invention is a summer program of the National Inventor’s Hall of Fame. The program runs for 7 days for 1st – 6th graders. Lots of themes are covered at this camp including science, math, history, and the arts. Camp Invention “encourages imagination, problem solving, and inventive thinking”. Kids are encouraged to create, encounter, and discover. This camp also focuses on teaching team building and problem solving. Run by teachers, there is an 8:1 student to teacher ratio. Kids Fun Camp is a 10-week program beginning on May 31 and running through August 4th for ages 4-13. Kids have the option of attending as little or as often as they want. Activities offered include bumper bowling, roller skating, IMAX, putt-putt golf, swimming, go carts, museums, Astros Games, Houston Zoo trips, bar-b-ques, arts and crafts, field days, theme days, talent shows, guest speakers, magic shows, and watermelon parties. Kidventure Camps offer day camps for explorers (grade 1 through age 8) and adventurers (age 9-13). A Discoverer Early Childhoold Program is also available if you have kids age 3-K. Activities offered include swimming, field trips two times a week, guest speakers, arts and crafts, and several sports. Call 713-960-8989 for more information or to make a reservation.
