How Not to Add Content to Your Website
It is a well known fact that in order for search engines to find your website, you will need content. Content comes in the form of articles, product information and resources, the things that fill up your website.
Sadly, so much hype has been put on having content on a website that it becomes stressful for new website owners. Sometimes the owners will not understand exactly how to do this properly. They may make mistakes when adding content to a website.
The following is a list of what not to do when adding content to your website:
Ã?· Stealing Content – If you ‘borrowed’ paragraphs or sentences from some else’s web page, this is called plagiarism and you could be in trouble if caught. This doesn’t just include text. Sometimes images are stolen as well. Be aware that images and text are copyrighted and unless you have permission to use them, you should not use them.
Ã?· Fit All Content On One Page – Don’t try to stuff all your product pictures on one page. Spread out articles and products onto separate pages.
Ã?· Add Any Sort of Content – This should be easy to remember. Why would you put an article about tires on your website if you sell flowers? Make sure your content articles are relevant.
Ã?· Keyword Stuffing – Keyword articles are great. They can help search engines find your business, but too many keywords spoils the article. For one, it ruins the article if you have too much junk in it. Another thing is that the search engines will notice and they will lower your rank quickly.
If you take a few of these tips and don’t follow them, you’ll be sure to boost your website and your business by providing quality content. Your business will boom. If you need help with your content, try contacting a few freelance writers or find a content producer to take care of your article writing needs.
