How to Add Lots of New MySpace Friends… Fast!!

Just getting started at MySpace? Read MySpace FAQ for Newbies

If you’re a MySpace user, you’re familiar with the twinge of excitement that comes from seeing this message “New Friend Requests!” flash on your home page. You immediately think, “Who could it be?”

So you rush over to your Pending Friend Requests to see who your new MySpace friend isâÂ?¦ only to find that it’s just another band on MySpace. Of course, sometimes it is someone great – like an old high school friend, a long-lost cousin, or evenâÂ?¦ a new crush.

Anyway, there seems to be a new trend on MySpace – friend-collecting. The person with the most friends wins. I don’t know what they win, but it must be something good because people are racking up hundreds, even thousands of friends.

So how does one go about making friends on MySpace? Well, believe it or not, there is a certain “art” behind thisâÂ?¦ or I suppose you could call it a “science”. Either way, if collecting hundreds of new MySpace friends that you’ll never meetâÂ?¦ never talk toâÂ?¦ heck, probably never even look at their profilesâÂ?¦ here’s how to do it.

MySpace Friend Trains
Want lots of MySpace friends? Take a look at your MySpace bulletins and you’re bound to find a Friend TrainâÂ?¦or a Whore TrainâÂ?¦ a Pimp TrainâÂ?¦ a Hottie TrainâÂ?¦ all kinds of trains. The point is, to hop onboard. Most of the time, it’s just a matter of inserting your Friend ID and hitting Submit. Sometimes they ask you to submit a photo, quote, etcâÂ?¦ Anyway, the more trains you boardâÂ?¦the more friend requests you’ll get. The great thing is that you can also add all the people on the train. Then it’s just a matter of that person accepting your request. This can sometimes be the fastest way to do it, although be prepared for the fact that some people just won’t accept your request.

MySpace Add Me Groups
There are many MySpace groups that exist for the sole purpose of adding friends. Once you join, you’re usually asked to add the moderator (after all, it’s only fair). So there’s one automatic friend. Skim the group rules really quick to see how their group works and be sure to follow their instructions. Some groups don’t allow you to post “Add Me” bulletins and others do. Some have “Add Me” threads in their forums instead. If “Add Me” bulletins are allowed – go ahead and post your bulletin. It can be as simple as “Add Me”, although some people try to get clever or cute and say “Hot girls welcome to add me”âÂ?¦. “Pleeeeease be my friend”âÂ?¦you get the point.

The Add Me Button
One thing that will increase your chances of getting people to add you is including your own Add Me button in the bulletin. Think about it. If you post a regular bulletin, that person has to click on your profile wait for it to load and of course you probably have a dozen photos and graphics posted on your page plus all the graphics your buddies have posted in your comments, so it could take a while. If you have an Add Me button right in your bulletin, you eliminate extra clicks and who knows how much extra time.

So how do you get one of these super-cool Add Me buttons? Well, I’m glad you asked, because I just happen to have the HTML code for you. Just remember to replace YOURFRIENDID with your actual MySpace friend ID #.

Other Ways To Make MySpace Friends

Add Your Friends’ Friends – When they ask you who you are, just say “You know… I’m Mark’s friend!”

Add Random Strangers – Sometimes this works… but it can also backfire. Just be careful not to appear to stalkerish.

Add Any MySpace Band – It’s practically a law that bands have to accept all friend requests… so add away!

Request to be added to the Add Me Page – This is basically a blog that consists of just “Add Me” buttons. Fairly new, but it’s taken off pretty quickly. You’d be surprised how many people love random adds.

Happy Friend Collecting…and oh yeah, don’t forget to add me! 😉
