Based on the title you are probably thinking that I am a little bit crazy of even thinking about barbecuing in the winter time. There are a lot of people that actually enjoy barbecuing in the winter. Especially, if it is during football season, and you want to have a good old tailgating party. You will see tons of people both men and women having fun tailgating parities right in the parking lots of the football arenas. What about having your own barbecue party right at your own home. You don’t have to wait until a special event like the super bowl to have a winter barbecue party. It really is very simple.

You just barbecue like you would during the summer time, except you have to make sure that you are dressed warmly. Also make sure that you don’t wear anything that is flammable if you are using a regular charcoal grill. If you really want to get that barbecue flavor then you will need to use a charcoal grill. If you are just going to use a gas grill then you mine as well cook in the house. Part of the fun is watching that flame light up and getting the smell of charcoal through the neighbor hood. If however you prefer to use the gas grill there is nothing wrong with this. When it comes to decorating and arranging your house, you can decorate your tables using picnic style table’s clothes. You know the kind that you only see in the summer time.

These are usually a lot cheaper to purchase if you buy them off season. For side dishes you can fix the usual barbecue side dishes such as potato salad, and tossed salad. You can also have a few fruit bowls as well. Try to make it seem like summer inside your house. You can even barbecue the food in advance so you don’t have to worry about the smoke from the barbecue getting in your house or in your guests faces. Of cause that will only happen if your patio is very close to your house and depending on which way the wind decides to blow. The key to having a successful barbecue is to try and pick a day that is not so windy. It would be pretty difficult to barbecue during a blizzard, especially if you don’t have the gas grill. Barbecuing in the winter time can really be a lot of fun if you plan it properly you and your friends will definitely have a great time. Your neighbors may think that you are a little strange at first, but who cares as long as you and your family enjoy yourself.
