One of the most important steps in preparing for a trip to Mt. Everest is ensuring that you are healthy and physically fit. Have your cholesterol checked at least three months in advance. Clogged arteries can actually cause frostbite while climbing Mt. Everest. It is also a good idea to stop smoking and drinking alcohol as it will tighten the arteries.
