How to Block Out Light and Conserve Energy in Your Bedrooms
Many of us have difficulty sleeping. I suffer from migraines as well as millions of other people do in the world.
The great thing about this solution is that it is also removable, so you can allow sunlight in and the open the windows during the day.
Things you will need-
- Sheet of foam insulation
Take your foam insulation sheet and size and cut it to your window. I run duct tape around the edges to make it stronger for the wear and tear.
Place the sheet of foam insulation between your blinds and the window. The blinds will help to keep the sheet in place.
Close your blinds and your curtains and your room will be nice and dark, even on the sunniest of days!
Tips & Warnings
- The foam insulation sheet will also keep the heat inside the room in the winter and the cool air conditioner air in the summer.
- In the winter, remove the sheet for some time during the day when you are not in the room to allow the condensation to dry up (if you have any).
