How to Clean Your House Quicker and Better

Do you feel like you clean all day and never make any progress? Do you see things that need to be done and forget about them while you are cleaning? I know your feeling all to well. There is nothing worse than feeling like you have cleaned all day and haven’t gotten anywhere. Take a look at these few things I do and try them for yourself. You may just find that you can clean your house quicker and better just by doing these few things.

Make a List

Yes, I am a list kind of gal! If I don’t have a list, it seems my world falls apart. I have lists for work, cleaning, grocery store trips, bills, and more. Back to cleaning for now though. Make a list each week of the things that need to be done. Every day when you do a task on your list, put a checkmark or something by it. If it is something that only needs to be done once a week, put it on your list as well. Go through the house each week while making your list and take note of things that need to be done like getting the spider web out the closet corner.

Clean a Few Minutes Each Day

It is best if you clean a few minutes each day. That way things don’t get piled up on you and you won’t have to spend one day a week cleaning all day. Depending on how big your house is and how much you have to clean, usually 30 minutes to an hour a day is plenty enough for cleaning.

Do One Major Day of Cleaning

It is also a good idea once a week or every two weeks to do a major cleaning. This is the type of cleaning where you move the couch and clean behind it, move the microwave and clean behind it, dust those hard to reach areas, wipe down the walls, and so on. Most of the time, we will pick up stuff, wash dishes, sweep, vacuum, and do laundry. Which is okay, but you also need to do the heavy duty stuff from time to time.

This is what I do to keep from going insane with house cleaning and I hope they will work for you as well.
