How to Do a Bob Long Intimidator Magnet Mod for Paintball

Paintball is many things, fun, hard, fast, energizing, and an adrenaline rush; however make sure you always were the proper protection examples of these are masks and padding (if needed). Also always use a barrel condom, sock, cover, or plug when you are not playing. A paintball flies at excess of two hundred miles an hour and can severely hurt someone not expecting it. Always play at a designated indoor or outdoor field.

What does it do?

This mod is great. I have done it to my Bob Long Species Alien Intimidator. It gives a faster return for any trigger. I highly recommend it for any Custom Products Trigger such as the Sling Blade or flat Blade because if will help you have a better return without having to screw with the back or forth return screws.

Difficulty:

Simple, yet this mod has its risks just like any other mod out there. Their may actual be places that will do this for you if you bring them the correct supplies. If you can disassemble a clamshell and you are confident with super glue then you should be able to do this handy, helpful, super, duper and affordable mod. I have shown the improvement from going from

Materials:

Trigger of your choice

Super Glue of any brand (usually the more expensive the better)

Two 1/8 Earth Magnet available at Radio Shack for 1.89 a set

Allen Keys of various sizes such as 3/16 to 5/8

How To:

This is a very simple mod to accomplish and I advise all intimidator owners to do this. First you need to disassemble your markerÃ?¯Ã?¿Ã?½Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½”Ã?¡Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½”Ã?¾Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½s frame just enough to get to the trigger. To begin this you must remove screws from the grips on your marker. Then you will see several more screws you must remove to disassemble you clamshell. Next you will see a screw holding your trigger in which you then must unscrew using your Allen key. Once you remove the trigger you will take one magnet and on either side super glue it to the end of the back travel screw of your trigger.

Finally, you should super glue the finally magnet to a small metal piece which is easily spotted across from the back travel screw. Make sure that the second magnet is facing the opposite side as the original magnet. Now I advise letting the trigger and gun both sit for at least twelve hours to a day to be on the safe side: however, you can take the risk of only a couple hours or the drying time. If you do not let the super glue dry long enough and either the super glue or magnets themselves could damage the board or other parts (solenoid and micro switch etc.).

Profit:

This mod will increase your balls per second that you shoot by three or four bps. This is a cheap efficient way to get that little advantage on other players and teams. Make sure you don’t let and of the super glue drip onto any of the internals. I have shown the improvement from going from only 13-14 balls a second to now an amazing seventeen to eighteen balls per second. The only downside to this mod is the hurt you will put on other teams.
