How to Get Rid of Ants in Your House: Home Remedy
The first home remedy for ants I will talk about is cinnamon. Yes, this sweet treat is exactly what you need to get rid of those pesky ants. Just sprinkle an abundant amount of powdered cinnamon over the trail of ants and where they are coming in from. You will see the ant trail slowly dwindle down to nothing. What the cinnamon does to the ants isn’t really known to me. All I know is that if you try to swallow pure powdered cinnamon, you will find yourself gasping for air. Please take my word for this and don’t try this at home.
The second home remedy for ant was actually given to me and my wife by her mother. All you need to do is mix an equal amount of dawn (or any other liquid dish soap) and water into a spray bottle. Shake it a bit before you use to make sure the mixture is nice and even. Then all you have to do is just spray the area where the ants are and you will see the ants migrate back to where they came from.
I have noticed that most of the home remedies just delay the ants until they make another attack. You have to remember that it is important for you to keep you house descent so you don’t have all sorts of bugs. Remember the food chain. It starts with ant and then the bugs just get bigger and bigger. You want to make sure that the area under your sink is not constantly damp. You also want to check you cupboard for open containers. The main thing you need to is very simple and I can’t stress this enough. Simply vacuum. If you vacuum once a week it will keep the particles of food and other stuff bugs might feed off of out of the carpet and you will not attract any bugs.
The last but not least tip I can give you to avoid ants is probably the biggest and most important. If you have a pet, you have to make sure that when it potties in or near the house that you clean it up as soon as you can. Ants are very very attracted to pet waste. You will see that ants start there and eventually invade your whole house.
So if you are having ant problems just remember that if you don’t feed them, they will go away.
