How to Remove Pet Urine Stains from Carpet
The cleaning solution consists of:
1 16oz bottle of hydrogen peroxide
1/4 cup of ammonia (plain)
Mix this mixture in a container of your choice (in my opinion a spray bottle works the best and easiest). Spray a heavy amount of the spray onto the urine spot. Now you are going to take some white paper towels (6-10 sheets) and place them over the spot of the stain. Next take a piece of plastic wrap (white or clear it does not matter) and place them on top of the paper towels(this is to protect the objects that your going to put on the spot). Find something with some weight to it, anything will work, heavy books or a heavy baking dish will do the job just fine.
Let your mixture set on the stain spot for 12-24 hours depending on how deep it is(personally I let it set for 24 just to be on the safe side). The next day after the allotted time you are going to want to get some rubber gloves or just another paper towel will work and remove the heavy object you have chosen to use. Then take up the paper towels and throw away. The towels should be a urine yellow/orange color. After a quick vacuum of the spot it should all be gone and good as new.
As you should with all cleaning products your going to want to test this mixture on a scrap piece of carpet that is the same as the stained carpet. If you have a spot under a piece of furniture that will not be seen. This is just a precaution make sure that there will be no fading or damage to your own carpet.
