The Chicken Pie Shop has been in San Diego ever since I was a kid, and the incredible and great thing is that there prices have never changed. At the Chicken pie shop most of the meals are under $10. There Signature dish which is their Chicken Pie is only $1.50 if you purchase it individually, and for the meal is $4.50. It’s like the good old days where you could actually get a hearty meal for under five dollars and it’s not junk food. You may ask well how big of a meal is this if it’s for only $4.50? Well the Chicken Pie dinner comes with a chicken pot pie, coleslaw, veggies, mash potatoes, a dinner roll, and a piece of your choice of dessert pie. Now if that’s not a real country meal then I don’t know what is. Another plus about this diner is that not only is the food good but the restaurant is a pleasant environment as well. The theme is chickens and everywhere in the restaurant is decorated with them. Also since the prices are like they were 20 years ago and so is the restaurant in the sense that they have a old school cash register and only take cash.
