If it proves to be too difficult for you then get your carpet professionally cleaned.

Replace your light switches and outlets with modern ones. This will give the impression that the house wiring is new and in very good condition. Here again we are concentrating on what is visible. Use good lighting inside the house to highlight the good points. The interior should give a good impression.

The kitchen is an important place and becomes quite shabby after years of use. There may be a lot of grease and grime on the surfaces.
