Inexpensive Weddings.. How to Have a Beautiful Wedding on a Budget

You want a fabulous wedding but you are on a budget. Don’t worry, you can have a great day for alot less by using one, two or all of these suggestions. Inexpensive weddings are all the rage.
Gone are the days when people spend the price of a first home downpayment on a wedding. Congatulations on your enagament and read on to see how you have a beautiful day for less..

I will begin by telling you the most expensive way to have a wedding. Pick a hall for your reception and make all your arrangements through them. They will mark up each and every item select through them. From thier flowers to food to alcohol, your hall will be charging you above and beyond what they pay for them. You will pay dearly for this conveinence. Think twice about choosing to do this if you want to save the most money. Always consider your wedding budget.

It is always less expensive to hold you reception at a public venue. There are many many different places to choose . If you want an outdoor wedding consider a public park. Some parks allow cittzens to rent boat houses or other public buildings. Military bases often have lovely celebration halls. Sometimes you must have a veteran or active military person in your family who will reserve the hall for you, others rent to the public. Consider renting a ballroom at a hotel that will let you bring in your own food. Many beautiful ceremonies are held in backyards or public gardens.

Choose a DJ over a wedding band. Personally I prefer DJ’s at weddings. You can give them a playlist of all the songs that are special to you.. The music you hear is from the original artist and not some pale comparison. As long as the DJ is experienced and knows when and how to make announcements your guests really will notice any difference. Having a DJ instead of a band can provide huge savings.

If you plan to provide alcohol, buy it yourself from a wholesaler. Then hire one or two servers. If your caterer provides your alcohol they will pass along all the costs and add a hefty fee.

Many people are choosing to have only one official sitting with a photographer and then asking guests to take candid photos at the reception Guests find disposable cameras on thier tables..take pictures and turn the camera in for the bride and groom. Doing this means that you will still have professional photos of you both in your wedding day attire plus many more photos than you would have to choose from when using one professional photographer. Since a full day with a photographer can cost thousands this is another way to save.

One of the largest costs involved with your wedding will be the caterer. Select carefully and get at least three estimates. Ask friends and relatives for recommendations and consider food quality. I would not use a caterer who did not provide samples or insisted on providing the alcohol.

Lastly, consider getting your flowers from a wholesaler, if that is possible. Any large city will have businesses that provide flowers..to those who want to sell them to you. Many wholesaler also do arrangements, so if you do not mind picking up your flowers, you can save plenty.

In short avoid package deals or letting one person do too much at your wedding. When possible, purchase what you need yourself and cut out the middle man. Select providers who are experienced but reasonably priced . More expensive does not necessarily mean better. Consider the time you will spend versus the money you will save. Confirm with everyone the day before……then relax and have a great day..knowing you spent wisely.
