Jaws: Unleashed Video Game – Eat Everyone and Everything!
Jaws: Unleashed puts a new perspective on gaming because this time you get to actually play as the great white shark himself. Jaws is angry and on a rampage because of all the people that are in his precious ocean territory. He is also a bit ticked off by the underwater drilling…
Anyways, you get to control Jaws as he reigns terror in the ocean surrounding a small island and theme park. Various scenes from the films are in the game, except this time you get to see it from the shark’s point of view.
The game features over 10 highly detailed ocean environments with over 20 missions. Each mission is full of action, blood, gore, and dismemberment. Jaws can either eat or destroy almost anything in his path. This includes other sharks, boats, fish, whales, and of course…people. The game makes all of this havoc more entertaining because it features a Dismemberment Engine. This allows for 25 points of dismemberment, meaning that you can tear things apart piece by piece.
Now how the heck does Jaws go about this? Jaws can attack in a manner of ways. This includes the famous bite attack, tail whip attack, or a stealth attack. Jaws also has a Shark vision sense that allows him to lock on potential prey. You can actually see your unsuspecting prey before they see you. This leads you to perform a devastating and bloody attack!
Finally getting to play a species that is at the top of the food chain does have its perks. However, Jaws is not invincible. You will have to fight off attacking sharks, whales, and people.
The main portion of Jaws: Unleashed is story based missions that progress you through the game to its ending. However, you are free to roam about the ocean as you please. There are also side missions and challenges. Some involve stealth, timed destruction, chases, and more.
Jaws: Unleashed may sound like a game where all you do is eat and destroy things. But that’s not true, (well most of it is). There is actually a story to follow and it is quite engaging. You will just have to play and see what it is like to be one of Mother Nature’s top predators. Be forewarned, the game is very graphic!
The graphics of this game are not exactly top notch. In fact, some images look rather blocky. The controls are quite easy to figure out. In fact, in no time at all, you will be attacking the innocent by sea and at the ocean’s surface! Sound wise…well you will just have to hear for your self. Du nunt…du nunt…
Jaws: Unleashed is available for PC, Playstation 2, and XBOX. It has an ESRB rating of M for mature. This is because the game features blood, gore, and intense violence. Sorry children, it is not suitable for you…and if you are afraid of sharks, you probably shouldn’t play! Happy hunting!
