KMS Curl Up Shampoo vs Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Shampoo, Nordic Angel

I have tried so many curly hair shampoos in my lifetime that I should be a walking add for almost any hair product company out there that makes a shampoo specifically targeted for curly hair. Over the years two curly hair shampoos have sort of stuck out from amongst the rest of the products: KMS Curl Up Shampoo and Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Shampoo, Nordic Angel. Both of these are quality curly hair shampoos, but with a few distinct differences. I use KMS Curl Up Shampoo and Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Shampoo, Nordic Angel interchangeably. After seeing an Oprah episode where her hairdresser said it is best to change you shampoo and conditioner about every three days I decided to have a selection of curly hair shampoos to choose from. I usually have about three different types of curly hair shampoo going at one time. Once they are finished I move onto to something new or purchase an old familiar.

When comparing KMS Curl Up Shampoo and Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Shampoo, Nordic Angel I kept in mind a few key features: how clean my hair feels, whether my hair felt weighted down or too dry, and how defined my curly hair shampoo smelled. A 12-ounce bottle of KMS Curl Up Shampoo will cost you about $11 and can be bought through salons or online at sources like www.drugstore.com. A 8 ounce bottle of Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Shampoo, Nordic Angel will cost you about $29 and can be bought at most hair salons and online at their website www.bumbleandbumble.com.

Clean hair is always a concern when using shampoo products like either KMS Curl Up Shampoo and Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Shampoo, Nordic Angel. Many curly hair shampoos protect dry curly hair by containing a low amount of cleaning agents. This feature is both good and bad at the same time. Less stringent cleaners mean more moisturized hair, but sometimes it can mean hair that does not feel clean. Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Shampoos is one of those curly hair shampoos that is super light on the cleaner and heavy on the moisturizing part. I love to use this on my hair because it is exceptionally dry and even somewhat damaged from years of highlights. If you have oily to normal hair though I think that Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Shampoos may just not have enough cleaning agent in it for your hair. It is debility more mild than KMS Curl Up Shampoo.

KMS Curl Up Shampoo definitley gets sudsier in the shower when I am washing my hair. I always feel like my curly hair is completely clean without being overly dry as well. Nothing is worse than shampooing your hair and feeling like it has turned into straw. During the winter I usually will use Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Shampoo versus KMS Curl Up Shampoo because it does seem to leave my hair more moisturized. It can be slightly heavy in the summer. In summer months though KMS Curl Shampoo is great at helping fight against frizz caused by extra humidity. The addition of an ingredient call Panthenol, which is basically Vitamin B5, helps create a pH balance that is vital to healthy hair. It also adds shine and body to my hair.

KMS Curl Up Shampoo and Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Shampoo, Nordic Angel both smell fabulous. The smell of a curly hair shampoo is one of the best features in my opinion. I find that a lot of curly hair shampoos smell like citrus fruits or yummy desserts for some reason. KMS Curl Shampoo is no excerption. It smells like yummy mango mixed with vanilla. It really smells like you could eat it!

Overall I would sum up by saying that KMS Curl Up Shampoo is better for more normal to oily curly hair. It is also better to use in the humid summer months. Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Shampoo is great for anyone with dry curly hair that is not prone to being weighed down with too much conditioning.
