Knight Life : Top 5 New Brunswick Bars at Rutgers University
Sunday and Monday- Even college kids need to detox sometimes, try resturants with bars like Stuff Yer Face, right across from the Rail. Its a good place to kick back with friends and enjoy their famous boli’s. But drinkers won’t be short of choice there with over 20 different types of international beers to try and tropical drinks served up in fish bowls.
Tuesday- So you are probably thinking-going out on Tuesday??? Yes, its the new Thursday, and the best deal on a Tuesday night in New Brunswick is Knight Club”at 164 Easton Avenue. Knight Club features $2 dollar well drinks and domestic beer . Under 21 be ware Knight Club is notorious for taking i.d.’s so don’t chance it!
Wednesday- Get over hump day Wednesday on Easton Ave.at the Golden Rail or the Rail as we like to call it. Follow the off key sounds of drunk music hopefuls as they partake in karoke all night some even competiting for a spot in the Rails karoke competition final rounds. $2.50 for domestic beers and $5 pitchers make a night at the rail well worth the occasional bad cover of your favorite song.
Thursday- Start early with happy hour at The Olive Branch on 37 Bartlett Street, with $1 beers and 50 cent slices of pizza there is no better deal in town!
Friday & Saturday-Is up for grabs as it is offically the weekend. I prefer either Olde Queens at 108 Easton or The Scarlet Pub aka Pete’s (although I have never met him) right across the street. Drink specials change from week to weeks, but there is never a shortage of free giveaways by promoters usually from tobacco companys.
While any place you go is great I hope this has given you a more economical approach to a fun time with cocktails and friends. After a night of drinking nothing fills the hunger craving like Rutgers famous fat sandwichs, with a pizza place serving them every night practically next door to every bar there is no excuse not to try one, don’t worry you can count the calories tommorow 🙂
