Kyle XY on ABC Family Gets Another Season
This science fiction/mystery story is about a boy who was found in the woods with no clothes on his body and no memory of anything. He does not even remember normal human behavior such as anger, sleeping, Love , eating and has no belly button. The Trager family takes Kyle in as their own. Nicole , a therapist, is treating Kyle as a patient.
They are trying to get his memory to come back to him. Throughout the 10 episodes that were aired Kyle slowly starts to get some of his memory back. During this he learns that he has supernatural powers.For example Kyle can hear very far away, learns everything super fast. He can read a large book in less then a minute.
We have learned that Kyle has been a witness to a murder of his old professor. The man who killed the professor was doing it to help Kyle. In the 8th episode Kyle goes on a trip with Lori and Declan. They go to a collage where The professor taught. In his office they see a picture of a Man who looks just like Kyle. Only problem is this man graduated twenty years ago. They learn this man has been missing since then. In the very last episode we learn that Kyle is a clone from the man who has been “missing” for 20 years.
Kyle then leaves with his new found parents (people pretending they are) and they take him to a place where he will learn all about his self. When they arrive at the home Kyle walks through the gate and sees him. The man who looks just like him and who has been “missing” for 20 years. He proceeds to tell Kyle who and what he is. They did not let the audience hear any of this. Then the season ends and leaves us all wanting to know more.
The show received outstanding ratings during this first season. It was ABC Family channels highest rated series. The show it self had more then 5.2 million viewers. ABC Family has given the green light to air 13 more episodes. The date for these have yet to be released. All we know is sometime next year. They are hoping to receive more viewers next season.
Kyle XY was Matt Dallas’s big break. Since Matt has been 12 years old he has dreamed of becoming an actor. After high school Matt spent five years doing modeling. During This he also had some small roles in a few movies. Living the dream, Wannabe, Camp Daze and Way of the Vampire. He also guest starred in an episode of Gilmore Girls and Entourage. Matt has auditioned for major roles but never made the cut. He was one of the last few people to audition for Kyle XY and won the part. Matt Dallas will be seen a lot more on ABC family.
