LA’s Totally Awesome Natural Power Green Glass & Surface Cleaner – Product Review
LA’s Totally Awesome Natural Power Green Glass & Surface Cleaner is packaged in a clear plastic thirty two ounce container with the standard spray nozzle. The product is a pale yellow color and has a colorful label with a bright red flower on it. While I have had hit and miss luck with cleaning products I have purchased from the dollar store, I needed to give my house a top to bottom cleaning over the weekend to ready it for showing to a potential buyer and was looking for a product that I could easily use to clean the different surfaces in all the rooms on both floors. I was hoping to use LA’s Totally Awesome Natural Power Green Glass & Surface Cleaner to clean the windows and bathroom on the upstairs level and then scoot down to clean the kitchen and first floor bathroom without needing to switch cleaning products.
The first thing I noticed when using LA’s Totally Awesome Natural Power Green Glass & Surface Cleaner was the very weak spray and thin consistency. I had encountered this issue previously when using a different dollar store spray cleaner that I was ultimately disappointed with, so I immediately had misgivings about purchasing this product. To my delight, the cleaner gave my bathroom sink and fixtures a very nice shine, although I had to use several pumps of spray to get the job done. With a minim amount of effort, the product effectively cleaned the toothpaste remnants in the sink from my daughters and easily wiped clean the toilet tank and toilet lid. I was quite pleased with the product at this point and felt that I made a smart purchase until I attempted to clean the windows and bathroom mirror.
LA’s Totally Awesome Natural Power Green Glass & Surface Cleaner left my windows and mirror so cloudy and streaky, I needed to go over them with my bottle of glass cleaner to remove the residue. This product is not appropriate for cleaning glass and leaves them with extremely unsightly streaks. The windows and mirror looked much, much worse than if I had never attempted to clean them at all. I would never try to use this product on my windows or mirrors again.
Although I was very pleased with how LA’s Totally Awesome Natural Power Green Glass & Surface Cleaner cleaned my bathroom and kitchen sinks and counters, I would generally not recommend this product. The fact that this product did not perform as advertised and did require a fair amount of product to get the job done due to it’s weak spray and very thin consistency does not make this purchase very cost effective. Overall, I think I am finished purchasing cleaning products from the dollar store unless I have previous knowledge of the quality and performance. I rate LA’s Totally Awesome Natural Power Green Glass & Surface Cleaner only one and a half out of five stars.
