L’Oreal Kids Tangle Tamer, Burst of Sweet Pear

It seems the longer my 4 year olds hair gets, the more easier it has become to tangle up. Every morning without fail, she will wake up with the same tangle in the back of her head. And this is no ordinary tangle. It resembles something like a rat’s nest even though she went to bed the night prior with clean and clombed hair. The tangle is always in the same place every time and has become almost impossible to manage without some sort of detangling assistance. Getting her to sit long enough to get her hair brushed was already hard enough, and now the hair brushing task has turned to almost impossible without protests and tantrums. Anyway, since I am a loyal fan to Loreal Kids Shampoo (in that fact that is all we use for our daughter’s hair care), I was pleasantly surprised to see a Loreal brand detangler nestled among countless other brands of detanglers at a local grocery store. Although the Loreal Detanglers are a tad more expensive than most of the other detanglers (2.99), I went with a trusted brand and purchased Loreal Kids, Tangle Tamer, Burst of Sweet Pear .

Information on Loreal Kids, Tangle Tamer, Burst of Sweet Pear

Loreal Kids Tangle Tamer is a 9 ounce bottle of detangling spray for children, that can be used on wet or dry hair. The lime green bottle and yellow nozzle make the detangler look less intimidating and more kid friendly. The detangler suggests that it can be used for all hair types, and adds a burst of a sweet pear scent to give hair a light fruity fragrance. The detangler claims to attack even the most stubborn of tangles, tame bed head, and leave hair looking cleaner and shinier. The detangler is gentle, tear free, and Opthamologist tested.

For use on wet hair, simply towel dry your child’s hair (unless of course they are old enough to do this task themselves), apply the spray, then comb. For dry hair, simply apply the detangler and comb. There is no need to rinse out the detangler after applied.

Our Experiences with Loreal Kids, Tangle Tamer, Burst of Sweet Pear

Every product by Loreal Kids that I have used has had such a kid friendly appeal to the appearance. This feature put my daughter at ease right away because she thought something “fun” was being sprayed into her hair. The first application was used on my daughter’s wet hair. At first spray, I noticed a light fruity pear scent as promised. The scent was not overbearing or too sweet. It is a perfect light fragrance of sweet pears. The spray was also light and dissolved quickly into my daughter’s hair. As I began to comb her hair, I noticed a difference in the conditioning of her hair. Normally, wet hair is not so hard to manage, but the detangler eased the process and left her hair looking soft and shiny.

The task at hand I was waiting for was the dreaded bed head tangle in the morning. As grumpy as my daughter is in the mornings, she did not want any part of the “fun” spray (as she says) coming anywhere near her hair. After some coaxing, I finally sprayed her tangle around 4 times with the detangler. Once again, it quickly dissolved even on dry hair. As I was combing through her hair, I noticed that the detangler didn’t just automatically perform miracles. However, it did condition her hair enough to let the combing process go much more smoothly. After 4 or 5 domb throughs, the tangle was gone and my daughter’s hair was left looking conditioned and smelling of light pears. A process that would normally take 20 minutes took only 7 minutes while using Loreal Kids, Tangle Tamer, Burst of Sweet Pear . After a few days of usage, the tangle has become much more manageable.

Final Reccomendation

The ease of use, kid friendly colors, and results have made Loreal Kids, Tangle Tamer, Burst of Sweet Pear something that we now just cannot live without. We needed something that would effectively help detangle what has to be one of the nastiest tangles I have ever seen. This is exactly what this product has done. Along with the fact that it works great, not much of the detangler is needed to get the job done. Sure, there are many other detanglers out there, but I can definitely recommend without no doubts this particular detangler. If it can work on tangles as bad as my daughter’s, then it will work on just about any tangle.
