Lake Wappapello the Vacation Spot for Southeast Missouri

Southeast Missouri has several interesting landmarks and sites for hunting, fishing, camping, boating, and swimming. One of the largest areas in Southeast Missouri to do all the above is at Lake Wappapello, just a few miles east of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. If you are from the St Louis area, it is 2 hour drive for you to enjoy all this lake has to offer. The lake is easily accessed right off Highway 60 in Southeast Missouri. Whether you are coming from the east or west you will find it to be worth the trip.

Lake Wappapello is over 44,000 acres of public land and waterways which is open to every outdoor activity you can imagine. Set at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, this beautiful lake has been one of the best vacation spots of this area. Get a breath taking view from one of the many hillside parks that over look the lake and you’er sure to be amazed.

Being part of the Mingo wildlife area and the Mark Twain National Park, this well- maintained lake has all the amenities that one could ask for. It is well-patrolled for the safety of its vacationers, as well as very clean. You will find this to be a nice place to stay during your vacation time.
