John Q. Hammons has been a leading developer in Springfield for years. You can choose from four sophisticated John Q. Hammons Hotels that provide not only convenience in town but all the comforts of home and luxury you’d expect. They include: University Plaza at 333 John Q. Hammons Pkwy, Residence Inn at 1303 E. Kingsley, Holiday Inn North, 2720 N. Glenstone, and the Courtyard by Marriott Airport is at 3527 West Kearney, just right down the street from the Springfield/Branson Airport. All four of these hotels offer great amenities like at least one pool, an onsite restaurant, free stay for children, and all except the Courtyard by Marriott accepts pets(fee applies.) The Courtyard has a pet service. The price ranges for these hotels are from $69-$179.

If you are looking for a more modestly-priced hotel, there are quite a few, with still some of the amenities of the full-service hotels. The Best Budget Inn at 4433 W. Chestnut Expwy is between $32-$42, children 12 & under stay free, there is a good restaurant adjacent to the facility, and they accpet pets for a modest fee. The Economy Inn at 2555 N. Glenstone, ($21.88-$30), Maple Inn, 2233 N. Glenstone, ($25-$35), and Rest Haven Court at 2000 E. Kearney ($25-$40), all have the same amemities as the Best Budget Inn and are also good choices if you are travelling on a strict budget.

Many travellers opt for the cozy atmosphere of a bed & breakfast. Prices for this type of lodging ranges from $65-$170. The Manision at Elfindale, 1701 S. Fort is a charming 1892 three-story mansion. All rooms are non-smoking, with beautiful hard-wood floors, offset with stained glass. You’ll enjoy a private bath and phone, full breakfast included. Virginia Rose, 317 E. Glenwood offers two-room suites, private baths, a parlor for guests to relax in, full breakfast, and all non-smoking rooms. This lovely 1906 Country Victorian is just 5 minutes from Bass Pro Outdoor World. The Walnut Street Inn, 900 E. Walnut, was voted best B&B by the readers of the Springfield News Leader four years in a row. You will truly be pampered here, and if you have children under 12, they may stay free. Choose from 14 different rooms, with some featuring fireplaces, jacuzzis,steam baths, and featherbeds. All rooms have full baths, cable TV, and phones. Whispering Oaks, 2219 W. Farm Road 182, is just outside Springfield on 23 sprawling, tree-filled acres. All rooms have private entrances, TVs, and baths. There is a gathering room for guests with a cozy fireplace, an onsite pool, and full breakfast is included.

For the happy campers travelling to the Springfield area, you may choose from two recreational overnight camping sites. At 5775 W. Farm Road 140 sits the KOA Campgrounds. They are open year-round with an onsite grocery store, swimming pool, laundry facilities, game and meeting rooms, and they even offer a seasonal pancake breakfast. Cabins are air-conditioned and heated, and children 4 & under stay free. The Ozark Highland RV Park at 3731 S. Glenstone is also open year-round, with features that include a swimming pool, laundry, clubhouse, two storm shelters, and three RV showers. Children 14 & older stay for $2 extra per night.
