Looking for My Lost Voice

The other day I lost my voice,
I looked for it everywhere.
I went through my closet
And in my drawers.
I looked beneath the underwear.

My voice wasn’t found in the kitchen,
Nor in the living room.
I looked in the basement
And in the garage.
My heart was full of gloom.

But then a thought came over me,
Go to the race track, of course.
I walked around the grounds,
Went into a stable,
And found my voice with a hoarse.
