Lorain Ohio and Surrounding Cities Have Some Fantastic Festivals and Events This Summer
Port Fest Lorain, Ohio at the Black River Landing
When: July 14, 15 and 16, 2006
Where: Black River Landing behind Lorain Palace.

Description: Helicopter rides over the waterfront area ($20 per person).

Award-winning bands during ALL hours of the festival on the brand new stage! All of us residents enjoyed watching the work crews construct the stage and surounding event areas. This is an event, we all look forward to each year and the stage will allow the entertainment to be viewed by all who attend.
Come listen to the “Oldies” on Sunday at 4:00p by Phil Dirt & The Dozers. Friday at 6:00p will be the funk, disco, Motown sound of The Bomb Squad and at 8:00p the Big Sound Blues of Blue Lunch.
On Saturday at 12:00p hear the High Energy Blues of K.G. Blues. At 2:00p rock to Haywire. At 4:00p hear the contemporary country originals of Tony Rio & Relentless. Starting at 6:00p enjoy the Reggae music of B.E. Mann “The Energy Man”. Listen to the harmonica-driven, blues-based, Roots, Rock and Soul music of Colin Dussault’s Blues Project. On-site fireworks display on Saturday night.
On Sunday hear the swinging oldies and the sounds of jazz by The Rhythm Syndicate. Starting at 2:00p enjoy the British Invasion Oldies sound of The Re-Beats and at 4:00p rock again to Phil Dirt & The Dozers.
Entertainment for the small fry in your group:
Kids will enjoy the Amazon Adventure Inflatable Obstacle Course, the Quad Power Bounce, the Amazon River Rapids, the Arts & Crafts, the Rock Wall and games. Bring plenty of sun lotion as the kids will not want to miss anything here. You definitely will not have any bored kids in tow. There is something for every age group.
On The Edge Honda-Suzuki will host a personal watercraft and ATV display at the festival. What did you expect when the festival is held right on Black River and so near to Lake Erie? Water enthusiasts will really love this part of the festival.

Friday is the annual cruise-in with 50’s/60’sentertainment on the main stage.
Saturday is the 5k run which starts at approximately 7:30a and a Grand Parade at 10:00a. There is also to be a fireworks display on Saturday. There will be a $1,000.00 Grand Prize drawing also on Saturday.

This is the 32nd festival.
