Melamine is primarily used to produce melamine resin, which when combined with formaldehyde produces a very durable thermoset plastic. Right now I’m not understanding how it got into pet food. Was somebody trying to make plastic pet food? Was it sheer accident? Was it on purpose? The Food and Drug Administration is looking into whether or not the chemical was intentionally put into the pet food. Excuse me but yes I would think it was because hello, it’s used to make plastics! Kitchen utensils, and plates. Melamine tile wall panels are known as whiteboards. Melamine resin is often directly laminated to particle board; the resultant panel is often referred to just as “melamine” and is the main panel good used in Ready-To-Assemble furniture and many kitchen cabinets. Was somebody trying to make pet food in kitchen cabinets? Why was this chemical even near the manufacturing pet food, and why is it in so many brands? Was somebody told that this chemical wasn’t harmful to animals? Has this chemical been in the pet food long before anybody knew about it? So many factors to consider to determine whether or not it was put in pet food intentionally or by accident. Melamine foam has an interlinking bubble format which produces a structure more like a block of microscopic fibreglass than normal foam. It is used for soundproofing, as a fire-retardant material, and also as a cleaning product, the name-brand version of which is Magic Eraser. Because of its interlocking microporous nature, and the extreme hardness of the resulting fibres, it can seem to clean “uncleanable” things from any relatively smooth, hard surface, such as a crayon from a painted wall, or road grease from a hubcap.
Some people don’t exactly know which pet foods were affected by this harmful chemical. Please check the Food and Drug Administration website for a complete list of recalled pet foods. An unknown number of pets after eating the recalled pet food resulted in kidney failure. What should you do if you have already given your pet the recalled food? You should take him to the vet if you notice your pet having any of these symptoms: loss of appetite, lethargy and vomiting. If you haven’t fed your pet the food, you should take it back to the store you bought it from and get your money back. I would recommend checking the Food and Drug Administration’s website often to see if anymore pet food has been recalled. I know I don’t want my pets to get sick because I love them very much. Many people ask, “What are we supposed to feed our pets if all the pet food is tainted?” Most of the wet pet food has been affected with this chemical. If you own a pet and love it very much, you will research this terrible situation to better your cat or dog, instead of just waiting for the news to come on and tell you another brand has been recalled, to find out that brand is the same brand you are using. So guys please look into this, as the world is changing constantly and we as humans need to be educated on what is really going on in this crazy world that God has made for us.
