Michaels Summer Crafts Camp for Kids

Michaels is a national chain store that sells craft supplies, art supplies, and general home decor items. If there’s a Michaels near you your children can have tons of fun this summer by giving them a call. Each year Michaels hosts the Kids’ Summer Craft Camp which is held in July and August. You can check with your local store to register your child for the events.

Michaels stores are famous for carrying most any type of arts and craft supplies, but they’re also well-known for their fabulous project ideas. Throughout the store, you can find small brochures which explain various new craft ideas along with a picture to show you the final look of the project.

When Michaels says they’re hosting a craft camp they don’t mean that the child will be sent away for the summer into a wilderness environment like many camps. Instead, Michaels hosts the camp inside the store at various times during the day.

Children ages five to eight will attend “camp” from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. daily. Kids ages nine to twelve attend “camp” in the store from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $5 for a 45 minute session or $8 for a two-hour session. No additional money is needed to purchase the supplies with which the children will be crafting. Camp dates are July 10th through 14th and July 17th through 21st.

Crafts that the kids will make can range from picture frames to hats to decor items for their room. Michaels has wonderful ideas for teaching kids crafts which will implement various crafting techniques and supplies. From cutting to gluing to painting, Michaels camp staff will show your kids the techniques needed to not only make something fabulous today, but to receive crafting experience for the future.

You can go online to find a Michaels near you then register your kids for the fun crafting summer camp. It’s a great little daily break for moms of more than one child and it’s also a great opportunity for moms of really little ones to see the excitement in their eyes and on their faces when they make something beautiful all by themselves.

Crafting teaches kids many things, like patterns, colors, opposites, counting, new words and terms, how to work with others, making personal choices and so much more. Don’t let your child miss out on this excitement – call Michaels today.
