Music Venues – Live and Otherwise – in Beaumont, Texas
If you’re headed to Beaumont, Texas, Crockett Street Entertainment District is the place to see and be seen while you’re in town. The district is built in a strip fashion housed in five historic buildings in downtown Beaumont. The complex is reminiscent of Austin’s famous Sixth Street venue. On the Crockett Street strip, you’ll find six clubs, two restaurants, and an elegant banquet hall available for renting to host your own special venue. The Crockett Street Entertainment District not only offers the common club scene, but hosts live music performances and various city activities that are on going. Crockett Street Entertainment District also offers a shuttle service between some of the larger hotels, Lamar University, and various parking lots downtown.You can park and ride or walk and club hop the night away. Crockett Street Entertainment District has something to offer everyone from the college student to the retiree. Rio Rita’s Cantina
You don’t have to keep driving south to find great Mexican food. Rio Rita’s has it all. From wild to mild, you’re sure to find something to appease your taste buds at Rio Rita’s. Rio Rita’s offers a lunch menu, and dinner menu, and also a children’s menu. The restaurant is designed in an adobe fashion to give it a real south of the border feel, complete with Saltillo tiles. There is also a patio complete with lush flora and fauna for outside dining. The building that Rio Rita’s is housed in was once a famous brothel in Beaumont’s “red light” district, The Dixie Hotel. Appropriately, the restaurant shares its name with the madam that ran the brothel, Rita Ainsworth.
The Dixie Dance Hall
Upstairs from Rio Rita’s is the Dixie Dance Hall, which takes its name from the building in which its housed, The Dixie Hotel, a once famous brothel in Beaumont’s “red light” district. The Dixie Dance Hall was voted Southeast Texas’ #1 honky tonk, and with good reason. The Dixie boasts an enormous dance floor, the best in country music to scoot your boots to, and drink specials all during the week. Several local radio stations broadcast live from the Dixie various nights of the week. There’s a Bikini Contest by Bronze Body going on weekly at the Dixie and some of the biggest names in country music have played live here, including Gretchen Wilson, Cross Canadian Ragweed, and Willie Nelson.
Antone’s
Antone’s is Beaumont’s premiere venue for live music. Three nights a week Antone’s boasts all kinds of acts from local bands to national talent. From blues to salsa to jazz, you’re sure to find something at Antone’s that you can tap your foot to.
Ten Lounge
The Ten Lounge is the most elegant of the venues on Crockett Street. The Ten Lounge is a cigar bar, of sorts, offering patrons premium cigars, delicious wines, and Scotches in any “good” year you choose, and a variety of specialty liquors- all narrated by jazz music wafting in the background.
Black Cat Lounge

Bobby McGee’s is the most laid back club on Crockett Street and is a favorite with the college crowd. Bobby McGee’s offers karaoke and hosts many events throughout the month. The Spindletop Restaurant
The Spindletop Restaurant is a versatile restaurant located at the end of the Crockett Street strip. You’ll find families as well as couples and business associates having lunch or dinner at The Spindletop. The restaurant showcases the history of Beaumont’s oil boom with artifacts and information The Spindletop Gusher in its decor. You’ll find everything you love about Southeast Texas food on the menu – gumbo, seafood, pasta, or even a juicy steak. The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner and was recently voted Beaumont’s Best Business Lunch.
Texas Star Bar & Grill
Perhaps the most entertaining venue on Crockett Street, Texas Star Bar & Grill is the place to come when you want to get your game on. The bar offers pool, shuffle board, and even video games for your entertainment. You can watch the pros play on the big screens if you’d rather relax and socialize. Texas Star Bar & Grill offers over 100 types of martinis to choose from – the classic shaken kind…not stirred. You can take one out on the balcony if you choose. Friday night is retro night where the bar plays the biggest hits from the 70s, 80s, and 90s for your listening pleasure. There’s never a cover at the Star Bar and drink specials are common every night of the week. On Thursdays, The Star Bar hosts “Speed Dating” for those in search of Mrs. Right or Mr. Right Now.
The Neches Room
The Neches Room is a banquet facility that is available for booking to host your private event. The Crockett Street Entertainment District is easily accessible from I10 from any direction. I-10 to Beaumont (either direction) take the downtown exit turn left at the second light, which curves and turns to Main Street.
You’ll go through two stop lights, and then one block down you’ll find Crockett Street on the Right.
