My Heart’s Desire

My heart’s desire

is merely to be
on a silk sandy beach
amid an emerald sea

Where sanderlings dance to and fro
and waves keeping time continuously flow
sea foam delight, that feels so right
smooth mounds of tousled sand,
melting tensions like summer snow
hypnotized by echoes of an ocean’s loud roar
to the call of gulls; their cries to allure

My heart’s desire
is merely to be
on a silk sandy beach
amid an emerald sea
