About 40 miles northwest of Rhinelander, nestled among a picturesque chain of ten lakes lies the secluded Lake of the Torches Resort and Casino. The casino is attractively decorated in an authentic Native American theme and features almost 900 ticket-in/ticket-out slot machines starting at two cents on the general casino floor and includes high-limit slots in the Bear’s Den. The casino features twelve blackjack tables open nearly all day and bingo six days per week.
They offer a frequent players’ reward program, the Torchlight Club, which offers redemption for jewelry, appliances and electronics.

Just east of the quaint logging town of Hayward, Lac Courte Oreilles Casino features more than 700 slots from pennies to dollars, video poker, and keno. The facility also has eight blackjack tables, and roulette and craps tables. However, patrons should be forewarned that these specialty games are only available during peak gaming times (afternoons and evenings).
The LCO Party Club is the casino’s frequent player program and gives cardholders the opportunity to redeem their accumulated points for cash and prizes.

Lying between Legend and Moshawquit Lakes 15 miles north of Shawano is Wisconsin’s first Las-Vegas style casino, which opened in 1987. Menominee features some of the best poker in the state at their six live action tables – including Texas Hold Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½Em, Omaha, and seven card stud. They also have weekly tournaments, including qualifying rounds for the WPT World Championship. As one of the smallest casinos in Wisconsin, Whitetail Crossing features 100 slot machines, with little in the way of accommodations, or dining. However, Whitetail is part of the Ho-Chunk Nation’s conglomeration of casinos and all Ho-Chunk Nation Reward Cards are accepted for point accumulation and redemption. Despite its relatively small size and lack of amenities, this location is quite popular due to its relative proximity to the 90/94 interchange just south of Tomah. This area is thus quite saturated with dining and accommodation possibilities.

A popular spot for travelers along I-94, Majestic Pines offers more than 600 video poker, keno and slot machines accepting denominations from one cent up to five dollars. Majestic Pines also features eight blackjack tables with a $3 minimum (Sunday-Thursday, $5 on Friday and Saturday) and a spacious 500-seat bingo hall.

Rainbow Casino is located between Necedah and Wisconsin Rapids and features twelve blackjack tables with $3 minimums with 2 deck pitch and 6 deck shoes. They feature more than 650 slot and video poker games. In December 1998, Rainbow made history by giving away the largest jackpot from a Native American casino. A one-dollar Wheel of Fortune paid out $7,468,995. Rainbow Casino is owned by the Ho-Chunk Nation and participates in the Ho-Chunk Rewards Club.

Mole Lake features bingo five days per week, a wide selection of progressive slot machines and a renovated blackjack area (opening in April 2006). While this casino does not have a frequent player program, it often runs impressive specials and packages that more than compensate.
