Oakview Elementary – West Deptford New Jersey

Childhood is a Journey, Not a Race. That’s the motto at Oakview Elementary. Enter a school with well maintained facilities, highly trained staff, and caring parents and you will never want your child to leave. Oakview strives to educate the children but also to make them well rounded individuals with strong character.

Where resources stop, the Home and School Association steps in to fill the gap. If a teacher needs something for the classroom, they have the support of the parent run group. There are many events throughout the year that add dimension to the school year joing parents, teachers, and students together as one big family. Most refreshingly, there is no “selling” of wrapping paper, candles and the like. Oakview and the Home and School Association see fund raising as yet another opportunity to bring together the school community. Most fund raising is done through events such as Breakfast with the Easter Bunny or Basket Bingo (great night out for Mom!).

Quality education is definitely a priority at Oakview. My Kindergardener has absolutely blossomed in just 8 weeks under the patient instruction of his experienced teacher. I have watched my nieces progress through the school as well and have been impressed by the challenging assignments and the active school community.

We are very happy that our children will be growing up here!
