1. Introduction: Bible, Revelation and Christianity against a Human Alienation

1 – 1

Questions about history reality, about consciousness, culture, religion, about social being, and questions about human alienation are standing very close in every mind for explanation, in every explanation about living, cultural, social and metaphysical role of a human being in the Universe. Question about identity of people is same question as alienation in human societies – cultural question is question about being, and religion is a knowledge and philosophy, and philosophy is religion. When we ask ourselves who we are, there is always our identification card, our credit card, memories on parents, the childhood, cultural customs as well developed forms, lows as social reality, social status, social roles, etc. After that, we can say: our identity is resolved issue, but that’s only half of a truth. Many times, some depression in our mind makes that we want to find a real answer about social reality, about our mission, purpose, about real identity – in that moment, it’s not so important our knowledge, even in so developed social forms, opinion, knowledge and simple plain emotion of us about others, others about us, us about ourselves. One of the biggest problems with human thinking (now days) is that everything is in high developed form, in human meaning even in a perfect form – just think about this: how much centuries, wars, political problems and solutions was necessary for developing such abstract social phenomenon and term as West World, or simple West – every man in the world can talk about West as a simple term, reasonable by itself; almost every young person can simply say West and can think in that moment about musical, artistic, cultural, political, economical, military, and any other influence and developed form, without thinking about complicated developed through centuries, about genesis of developed structure. Now days, with developed language, economy, nations, families, and other social structures, it is opposite to natural sciences (in the first place to physics and biology) plain thinking only about developed forms in social science and in a lives of people in modern society – main problem is that we almost always treat (and even only can treat) structures which are highly developed. But, we will never can to know whole true without knowledge about basic principles (structures, and systems).

In the other way, when we talk about alienation of human being, we must know that crisis of identity comes in first place from opposite thing, from (particular) identity. What is the main thing for custom, for law, for habit? You can answer on that question if you think about why every woman or man, every people, always asks (in their social life) some occasion for change, for changes, for something different. Answer is: biological human brain is rare, inert system; brain is in some special layer (not in his all structure!) “slow” for changes, and people always in sub consciousness “know” that they are (that we are) smart and clever if we can “see” some natural or social change from our mind. Also, customs, laws and habits are strong, because brain “wants” something to be “stable and unchangeable”. That complex is the main root for phenomenon of identity, and main problem in term and content of human alienation.

Form and content of all human identities is in dimensions of planet and history so developed, so diverse, huge, all so different, but also, alienation is so widely spread that also represents historical and planet phenomenon. Human being, human consciousness is well directed frame and structure for cultural dimension of our own (personal) identity, and identity of social groups in which we are – but, not once, all of us ask ourselves who we really are, except we are man or woman, child or grown, this or other nationality, profession, vocation, etc. What was before our nation and families, what will be after lives of our grandchildren?

The Holy Bible tries to answer on challenge from a human alienation – human alienation is not occasional, but it is impressive, important and consequential historical problem for every human being, and it will still be in big time in not only close future. Bible fights against that – Bible talks about beginning of physical world and Universe, about ancient history of a mankind, about World of Heaven and life of human soul, and, in the last chapter of cannon, about our future. The Holy Bible wants to answer: who we are, who we really are, and who will we be, and, not only as religion but as qualified philosophy and social science, wants to learn us who to fight against alienation in our lives, and in history of mankind. When you fall in crisis of identity, try to remember what The Holy Bible simple says: every man is in first place a God’s angelâÂ?¦

In this essay we will talk about the last book in the New Testament and Holy Bible – about the Revelation of St. John the Divine (“Book of Apocalypse”). That book talks about possible future of the mankind, far to the end of planet reality in this historical, social and even natural form. Revelation is so hard for understanding, and we can make good job (not only in this essay) if we understand that message as strong metaphor, as picture which we must to create in some moments, not only to learn from text. We will try to explain that metaphor (metaphors).

Solid base in this text will be well developed reality of society with good social roles. Identification of people with their main social role (roles) in the XIX and XX centuries was also main “offender” like a root cause for social (and even natural) alienation of a modern man. It could take many pages of text for me to proof that this is not correct in full meaning – just now, maybe it is enough to say that with develop (good develop) of civil society in modern time social roles are becoming more comfortable, more popular and nice, many new professions gave many new forms of work and behavior. In modern days, people are not alienated from their social life, but alienation still exists. It could be interesting to talk about that phenomenon some other day. Main intention of this mind is this: solid, developed society was the frame for arising books of the Holy Bible (Jews ancient society), and in our modern time is time of solid, well developed, almost happy, educated and fast growing society, so we can will full right in the same frame – frame of developed structures (religion, science, art, etc.) in developed countries – easy to comment religion text about future of a mankind. But, some societies on Earth, for example poor people in Africa, can’t develop their personal roles in society structure – they are prevented by hunger, disease, illness, death. What is a minimum criteria for persons and societies to function normal in system of social roles? That is difficult question.

Answer is close to question about predispositions of human persons. In this place, I don’t mean on standard characteristics from social and scientific bureaucracy, I don’t mean on classifying people and their characteristics – I mean in first place on principle. For example, can you imagine two young women with similar look, with similar hair, with similar geographical, social, and other customs, habits, etc. – in first place, I think that some similar people will in social structure function on similar way, even if that persons have some of characteristics completely different – that similarity will be visible in social behavior, in thousands of situations, just like that DNA gives not biological (natural), but also (some) social elements; that means: social structure like accord and proclamation of social elements is mirror of mathematical quantum in structure in being of every human, and being of the mankind. Africa is mostly poor, ill, unhappy, and people die in every second by hunger and disease – from my comment, you can easily imagine that problem of African persons with illness and dieing is not only that manifestation, but also it is catastrophe for social roles of that people in their (possibly happier) society from their good, well human predisposition! Hard situation for that people is not only first visible, but also huge problem of destroying of their social being. I remember on that when I have saw two different girls, in two different cities: one of them was my friend, and other one I only saw on her workplace. That two girls were with similar physical look, with similar personality, and you will not believe, both of them was in similar cloths, on similar workplace, etc. So, if poor people in Africa die from disease, can’t get good education, or have some other difficult problems, that is not the only damage that occurs in that case – there is huge damage of unrealized carriers, social roles, professions, etc., and that is a huge global problem.

So, if we comment events from the Holy Bible from our good social roles, if we argue about future of mankind and about comfortable moment in this time from bright and fast cities, we must also know that reality of Africa and other hard trouble places in the World is also planet reality – it is a philosophical issue to find a way to help that people.

Revelation is not, and it is a specific book in the Holy Bible – in that book, like in others, with planet Christianity issue priests, writers and apostles are going in their fight in two ways: they are fighting with problems of their time (idols, sects, specific question in ancient time, etc.), and in the same time they are fighting with universal problems of their time, of our time, of every time (future time also). I’ll comment their special events, as also universal events from Revelation. In Revelation, it is clear that God directly talks to John the Divine, and John writes events (about future of a mankind) that he saw on Heaven – some things are specific only for his historical time, but some events are eternal. So, let start!

2. Modern Philosophy and the Revelation of St. John the Divine

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John: who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.”

In this first sentences of the Revelation, St. John had been said some words about his mission, about mission of the Revelation; his words are dedicated to important truth about future of a mankind, truth with source from being of God – God gave privilege to St. John to talk in his very special book about mysterious things, things so far from the time of ancient age of the Holy Bible and all it’s manuscripts. But also, we must see one important detail in this sentence – St. John is not only the man in Revelation, he is also (and any other man too) God’s angel – in this place explicitly human nature and human being is not only nature, form and being of man; it is also form of life after physical death, form of God’s angel. Interesting, isn’t it?

“John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throneâÂ?¦”

Like good ancient Christian, John accosts to Christian communities in Christian Churches in Asia, and traditionally accosts with traditional words about God: God was, God is, and God will be. When we think with out mind, with our reasons, we must ask ourselves, on scientific way, how is possible for time line to go without limits in both directions, to future, and also to a past, eternally? God always was, God is, and God will be? Latter in this chapter we will formulate this question (issue), and in a further text we will explain, and answer that hard question.

“âÂ?¦Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they [also] which pierced him: and all kind reds of the earth shall wail because of him.”

Please acknowledge in this place that early Christians had been lived in hope, in strange, strong hope, different than modern hopes in Christian religion – in that time, Jesus was not ancient, legendary promoter and patriarch of new fate – he was almost coeval for big number of those people, of ancient Christians. Their faith was close with his name like with name of the man in front of them, near to their place upon the Sun. Their prayers were different, and their hope was different. But, that still doesn’t mean that modern Christians can’t have some similar feelings.

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

We will formulate this problem (time issue) for latter (also in this text) resolving. Actually, we can see like this: things and beings that we know can start in some time moment (first moment), and can last for some time, or forever, in the future without any end – but, how being can last forever, from the past (of philosophical being, of eternal beings, even infinite past of God)? That means, if we know that time can go from beginning of some being to some other point of time, or to eternity, how is actually possible in the same time for beings that time goes forever – in other direction, or from that direction? I’ll answer on this question latter in this text, but I must say to dear, patient readers of this essay that I’ll use one new term from physical science, for full (scientific) explanation of such possibility. And yes, answer will be positive – it is possible that God is not eternal only in the future, but also in the past!

“I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, what thou sow, write in a book, and send [it] unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.”

This is important moment for the Revelation: John says that he was in Sunday “in spirit” (what means that he left his body, and like an angel, only with his soul, he went to Heaven to see things important for his book of the Revelation – and future of the mankind) – the Revelation is a book about meeting of St. John with special model, with special array of pictures prepared for him by God. All of matters in the Revelation are about very specific, smart and truly method, scene and picture, and model of human future. Result is visible only as tough, hard metaphor, very hard for understanding and for any kind of comments – source of that metaphorical speech and text is not only in subjectivism of St. John and his book (book is result of his experience on Heaven), but also it is in God’s purpose for that subject (picture about global future for Christian believers).
Next sentences in the Revelation are about very special (spiritual) appearance of Jesus Christ in front of John:

“And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; and in the midst of the seven candlesticks [one] like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and [his] hairs [were] white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes [were] as a flame of fire; and his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword: and his countenance [was] as the sun shineth in his strength.”

This is clear picture from St. John’s words about Jesus in Heaven, and, in that picture we can see sharp sword “out of Jesus mouth.” We can ask one question: what we could expect or think when St. John did write “sword in Jesus right hand”? That is problem in metaphors (for good understanding) in Book of the Revelation! Answer is in double meaning – sword is not only weapon (for Jesus hand) but it is also his doctrine, all his words in the Holy Gospel – on many places in Revelation author gives two (or even more) appearances in the same (almost lyrical) picture.

“I [am] he that lived, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

In this sentence Jesus is happy to explain to all people (readers of the Holy Bible) that life (in spirit) defeats death (of physical body), and also, he is saying to Christian community that terms like “death” and “hell” are close to “sin” in Christian religion – he wants to say that fight against “sins” has purpose in his fight against evil (in religion meaning). I argued in earlier essays about term, form and meaning of sins in Christianity.

“Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; the mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.”

It’s understandable that Jesus in these first matters of the Revelation have some message to Christian Churches in Middle East (in that historical period). But, let we see one almost familiar (in this text) matter once more: “angel” is a man – high priest in Church, “angel” is angel (spiritual being) who protects Christian community in that Church; for God and Jesus, people (humans) are already angels, because they have spiritual soul, and, angels are spiritual beings without (in any time) physical, biological brain and body. It is symptomatic that author (St. John) often uses multiple meanings in his metaphors! In the Revelation, on this place, “angel” is the highest priest in Church, and that is visible from next sentences:

“Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; I know thy works, and thy labor, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast labored, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have [somewhat] against thee, because thou hast left thy first loveâÂ?¦”

Now follows directions and rebukes from Jesus to “angels” – priests in Asian Churches and that lines are dedicated mostly to that historical period, with talk which is sidelong to battle with problems like blasphemy, idols, wrong doctrines, etc. That directions are very similar, and I’ll not comment that matter – I will comment only some sentences from that talk, sentences important to understanding the spirit of Revelation, and main message from that text.

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; to him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”

Tree is important symbol in the Holy Bible. In this part, it’s not important only that might trees grows and gives fruit in Heaven – please try to remember about first parental sin from first people in Heaven, about story about sin with an other tree, tree of knowledge about good and evil, in center of that story. What is tree (symbol of tree) in the Holy Bible? Tree is cycle, period; trees on Earth are symbol of life (like human’s body), and symbol of fruit (on the end of one cycle). Humans take that fruit, and share some meaning in symbolism of life cycle. Authors of the Holy Bible knew much about agricultural, and they transferred that symbolism in World of Heaven – my personal opinion is that there are nice nature and trees, different by its material nature than here on Earth, even much better for feel and touch, for taste – and real true probably is: yes, there really are.

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; to him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth [it.].”

Impressive words: in this place, absolutely is clear Christian doctrine as doctrine about eternal life for human beings – as God’s angels – after physical death of human body. And if you read further, it’s not only easy to understand that God’s food (manna) will be free and available to a people of the Heaven Age, but also some line about identity of people in Heaven – no, it’s not that; people don’t lose their good all memories from the Earth – simply, nature of Heaven is so special, like (possible) bad things in remembrance are (structurally, as characteristics of that world – Heaven – and it’s being) not in memory focus any more. That means, with human body, “on the ground” stays “existential” part of memories with “wild nature, which produces conscience and heavy scruple” – all “nice” memories will make same good “old-new” identity of every person.

“But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. But that which ye have [already] hold fast till I come.”

This part (comment) is linked to anterior citation and comment. What is our life? People who have in many matters and direction good and pleasant life, even that, many times in their lives look in deep, blue sky, and ask themselves: God, why is sometimes so heavy, too heavy? Many people have hard, difficult life all the time, until their death. From this sentence in the Holy Bible, we can see: that matter is not occasional. Through life, “fire” of edge of our feelings and minds, our reason and heart, makes that we “burns” inside in moral meaning. That means: Christians have religion, prays, Churches, etc, but every man have – life – life with such difficulties, as Christians. That means: life by itself is hard, so hard condition for eternal life (in Heaven).

“He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”

First what we can see from this line is that there is activity in God’s surrounding on Heaven about events, things, people and their behavior on Earth (presence of Book of life, etc.). But, more rather then that, please see this: in earlier essays, I discussed about fighting Jesus and Christians about evils which threats, so close and near in that historical moment – those are idols, pagans and heathens, devil, etc. Now you can clearly see (and also on many other pages in Bible): that fight changes her place (Earth and history, Middle East), and translates to invisible space of World of Heaven – picture about that is simple: problems (for Christian religion and her doctrine) are also valid matters on the Heaven. That is strictly Christian philosophical mind (“hard talk” of Christianity).

“âÂ?¦And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and [one] sat on the throneâÂ?¦ And round about the throne [were] four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. And out of the throne proceeded lightings and thundering and voices: and [there were] seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. And before the throne [there was] a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, [were] four beasts full of eyes before and behindâÂ?¦”

This is, we can truly say, the first close meeting of some mortal man (in spirit) with God himself in Holy Bible, meeting so different then Moses meeting (in body) with God in the Old Testament. More then that, God is not in this place God of spiritualism, ethics and morality, with commandments for the mankind and people escaped from Egypt – God is here well interested high commander of salvation of a human race; he looks with his high attention in “a sea of glass unto crystalâÂ?¦”, which is probably some kind of representation, some kind of picture of live history, planetary and Universe model for observation and suggestion. That “glass sea” is, probably, some kind of picture of a live history!

“The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”

Not only in this place, but also on many other places in the Holy Bible, God is the highest spiritual being, He made all of physical and spiritual world, He will live forever, He is now (in present time) great leader of all beings, and, also, what I want to say here, He is eternal not only in the future, but he is also eternal for such deep past (of everything)! We formulated that question earlier in this essay, and I promised that I’ll explain with help of physical science how it is possible. So, let’s go!
In one earlier essay, I have discussed about physical term of energy like the main reason for damage and defect in all things, like main cause for “tooth of time” effect in all things in visible Universe, and also, that effect I promoted in definition for Christian aspect about visible nature (our world of physical bodies, visible Universe). In that article, I have said that “time” and “three dimensional spaces” exist even without even one physical body (in physical space), even one physical event (in physical time). Now we talk exactly about “time”, not about mischief, malfunction, definition of visible world, energy, etc. That’s why, I’ll use a new physical term.

People mostly like pool table and pool. Why is pool so characteristic for my explanation? Because pool table and pool are a very good (for talk about time) model for our whole Universe – fast kick on white ball, good hit, and all balls go in different directions, like events in time. What is delivered with that first kick? Power? Energy? Velocity? Does these quantities on best way represent event, time event in physical situation?

Answer on that question is negative – real quantity, well good for describing time events is: “impulse of a body”, or, with its other name, “quantity of moving”.

What is impulse of the body in Physics? Simple definition says: it is product of mass of the physical body (pool ball) and velocity of that (physical) body. Try to imagine locomotive with high rate of mass and velocity on a railway, or heavy grenade from battle ship with huge mass and velocity, and you will have a feel about impulse. And why is pool important?
Far in a past of the Universe, event called “Big Bang” was the first “kick” in physical reality – in that moment (moment “zero”) was delivered huge rate of impulse of a body, and cosmic pool started – with delivering of high rate of impulse of a body, huge rates of mass and their velocities made this Universe, in physical space – in a big array of position vectors (3D space) for every body “in a game”.

That moment (moment zero) is also start of physical causality in beings (physical beings). How to understand “Big Bang”, and more than that, delivering of impulse of body? It is easier than you think.

Try to imagine military rifle, with one shot in free space – first explosion, and bullet – some physical mass – is delivered with some physical velocity (speed of a bullet). What is delivered? Yes, that is impulse of a body. But, try to “shoot” (use abstract mind!) from that free space with same bullet, back to rifle! Or, try with fifteen balls in pool be so precise to “push back on a beginning” white ball! Yes, that is impossible – end of the (visible) Universe will be surely different than beginning – and why? Delivered once, impulse can only be changed, but he is irreversible (in real life)! All physical reality based on impulse of a body is irreversible – impulse is a hundred percent causal being. And now, main question: when you see on your watch seconds, “24, 25, 26, 27âÂ?¦”, can you catch, once delivered, “28”, or, can you stop “29, 30, 31âÂ?¦”? That is the point: in your mind, in all experience in mind of every ever lived human being, “time” is only, in subject experience, “causal time of impulse of a body”. Our clock and our mind are correct, but our “time” represents reduced, special case of time – impulse of body related time!

We count time from the first explosion in Universe – “Big Bang” – and that is “moment zero” for beginning of our time (time in visible Universe). That kind of time starts in one moment, absolutely is causal, and last to other moment of (that like) time, or eternal, but only in positive direction of timeline.

Point is simple: our concept, notion and idea about time (“time” in our mind as mind of smart subject, subjective, experienced time) is always, absolutely always “time of impulse of a body”. And time in the Heaven (time in general idea of time)? That is not causal time, time of delivered mass with velocity – that is time of Eternity, time without timeline, beginning and the end; that is time of eternal God, and human angels!

I know that is hard to understand those matters in first hand – but I’ll glad to discuss and to argue with every qualified physician, and also good priest-philosopher, the best that you can find – because this is all true, and I can give good, reasonable explanations!

“And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?”

“âÂ?¦and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.”

Holy Lamb in this place represents Jesus Christ, and book of life represents metaphor for end of Christian Church fight with sins in the mankind. Please be careful: church teachs that causality doesn’t exist not only in beings, matters and events in the Heaven, but also in every human (on Earth) action, mind, talk and event – everything is free will. It’s not problem for Christian religion simple fact that Lamb is killed before begining of physical time (time in the Universe) – that simply means: sin in mankind was predicted by God, and “reasons” are not “causality”; God’s, angels’ and human reasons are knowledge and free will, and causality always exist only for things and physical events. That is confusing for philosophical mind, but it’s easy to explain with good sense and resaon: old popes in Christian Church are powerful with holy religion, and there is no much time for science of physics and philosophical nicety. But that is no such simple question: God predicted sins in the mankind, and mankind (in the Holy Bible) on begining was without any sin – sin had been started in one moment far after begining of human race (Adam and Eve). That is complex for understanding, because mistakes, little sins, miscarriages, little errors, etc., are in every human being – in first, in last, and in every between that – familiar, natural part of human being, and also part of every social being. We can understand in those complex situation: important is, in a first place, not to go in error and sin by clear free will and mind! Yes, Christian message is etical message in a first place, and message of humanism too.
Moral life can bee riched only in some good degree, but never in ful, fantanstic degree. This citate from the Revelation is simptomatic: Christians seems to transfusion, to draft watter from one ocean to other, and they don’t see that watter goes back beside to old place – that’s like is absolute, a hundred percent fight againts any possible sin – and that’s why, final word by God himself about mighty book of life with names of good people who beat all the sin, comes like final justice for every Christian soul. Important is: do not make hard sin with your will and decidion, and respect law and order in every moment of your life – that is good for all of us to be good for God.

Racional reasons are not reasons againts passion, against fire of true religion – thinking is not forbiden, and we can still be very good Christians if we investigate by racional reasons hard text of the Holy Bible, for faith, and for science!

“And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, come and see. And there went out another horse [that was] red: and [power] was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, a measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and [see] thou hurt not the oil and the wine. And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”

Picture in a human mind is always complex, developed, well developed picture – in social releated and historical sciences really is. And human mind is always similar with picture that not only looks, but also in same time creates. Everything from that picture (in main elements) we can see even today, in XXI century: high prices of oil, expensive things of all kind for poor people, pandemia disease which can be possible threat, etc. It is more comfortable, there is no doubt, for every man to live today than in the first century, but picture (for talking, and thinking) is almost very similar, very lyric, and very human – ancient writer writes about them, about us, about every woman and man, and we hear that words and we clearly see that picture – can we tell (similar, almost same in some way) picture to our heiress? Which words we can use for that?

“And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; and the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountainsâÂ?¦”

We can understand this in two directions: Christians are happy because their doctrine takes victory over the Universe, and every Christian is happy because fight with sins results by complete victory, but also, they understand that happy can be every human (not only Christians) because that is not only victory of Christianity upon a sin, but also is victory of the mankind upon death – those are two meanings: victory of Christians, and victory of the mankind!

“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; and cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.”

Christianity in a first place wants to make clear that every man who makes sin is not in accord with will of God, but one thing is great: nationality is not a barrier (or language, or other social characteristics) to be a Christian, a good Christian – it is well reasonable right now, but try to think: a two thousand years before, in ancient past?

“Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.”

In some normal life, in plain normal life, it is too often easy for every man to feel some injustice, to feel wrong things, to suffer and to cry. Biological organism is not only high overreacting substance sometimes, but it is also (with human soul as part of a being) deep pleasant, nice, patient, happy and even so naive, beautiful being. And what is prettier than picture about eternal life in the land of God, with justice, with sharing emotions, eternally, freely, in perfect World of Heaven?

“The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; and the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; and the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.”

We must make clear a few things here: this events described in the Revelation are often possible, but not in the same time: they are possible as cosmic, meteorological, natural, climate, and biological phenomenon, here described in such huge, huge dimensions – but in the same time, they could represent one apocalyptical event, strongly based on last text in the Holy Bible, like end of the known physical world, in form in which he is good for human’s life. This metaphors have two strong charges – almost poetical, lyrical charge, and strong moral, religion meaning and word of high notice about dangerous, word of warning and prevention – we can also see some kind of joy in holy writer’s feelings, because, it is the day, isn’t it? Well, in any case, Bible is right book to warn us for our mistakes, and that is absolutely right.

Such dimension of catastrophe is not arbitrarily written: when evils come together, it is mostly visible just one huge, hard picture of evil in fusions of evils, and we can imagine that – but in the Revelation, writer dismember and analyze danger (in “casts” of different angels!), like in modern journalism, with almost all rules – we must always read this text as some kind of metaphor.

3. Franz Kafka and Karl Marx and Human Alienation

3 – 1

Theory of human alienation is important theory in social science and philosophy, and both Franz Kafka (Austrian novelist) and philosopher Karl Marx gave their contribution to this theory – even in their time, it was important question about crisis of human identity.

Their theory says that man is natural being, and during the history, in social being had been developed alienation like historical and social case, and then from that abstract situation alienation “attacks” concrete real human persons all over the world. My own simple theory in my philosophical essays is opposite to that: I think that human alienation is not historical structure motivated by processes in social and historical being; human alienation is part of a structure of each human being, which is not only natural, but also it is (we are) spiritual beings – human alienation (and sometimes rare and sometimes occasional crisis of identity) is deep in structure of human being, like collision of two natures – human brain and body nature of social roles (which are social identities, and that’s why I always talk about that roles!), and God’s angel nature of human spirit and his spiritual life, human soul.

God requests every man by giving him brain and body, and social role – good or sometimes bad social identity – to request his angel’s nature, his spirit.

Main sentence from Marx’s philosophy is: “human’s consciousness doesn’t determine his social being, but his social being determines his consciousness”. With respect to truth in that words, and little opposite to that, better true can be (from my own conclusions): “human’s consciousness determine social being, but his (of that concrete human) social being determines his consciousness”. In that, only on first sight so little different conclusion, we can argue huge social theories.

I declared myself in earlier essays as causalist, but I have sad that time that there is free will of man, which makes some processes in causality chain. And imagine this: even if we say that everything must be on only one way, like reason of causes, that (in Christianity) do not gives abolition for every human act: if there is free will, first consequence on that is that there is responsibility!

It is very difficult to comment manuscripts from the Holy Bible, especially Book of Revelation, because that book talks about wars, catastrophes, diseases, and other natural and social problems for all mankind. But sometimes, some people make some “too easy” conclusions about incorrect of Bible, with laugh and shame for holy text. I’ll make one well known example, sentence in Revelation about “grasshoppers with human heads”, whose will destroy fields with human foodâÂ?¦

“And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment [was] as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. And the shapes of the locusts [were] like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads [were] as it were crowns like gold, and their faces [were] as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as [the teeth] of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings [was] as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power [was] to hurt men five months. And they had a king over them, [which is] the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue [is] Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath [his] name Apollyon. One woe is past; [and,] behold, there come two woes more hereafter.”

Earlier in this essay, I sad that we must pretty good care for double meaning of Revelation sentences, and about metaphoric speech in text. What is, when we now days think, “grasshoppers with human heads”? Can we imagine social groups in our society which, not for some job, work or practical purpose, try to “escape from gravity field”, to “jump”? And other part of medial? What is with armory on that “grasshoppers” (that are other people, with double mining in same sentence)? Believe or not, tanks, heavy transporters and battle vehicles have so good amortization, which they really “jump” on heavy terrains! And wings of grasshoppers with armory?

I’ll stop on this place with comment, with recommendation to readers to read parts of the Holy Bible, mostly because I do not want to comment hard parts about possible wars in mankind, and diseases about Revelation talks!
