Panache is the best place in Boise to go for a relaxing spa day. I bought my mother a spa package here for some much needed stress relief, and she said it was like a religious awakening. My own experience with Panache was also a gift from somebody: an “Aromatherapy Body Wrap,” which lasted about an hour. It was the best hour of my life. I’m not kidding. I realized that I had never experienced a state of total relaxation before that point. They wrapped me in these warm, steaming sheets (like a hot towel) while the hot tea in the sheets somehow supposedly takes the toxins out of your skin. And if that’s not enough, they massage your scalp all the while. Having your scalp massaged sounded a little risky to me, but I didn’t have a headache for weeks after that, and have tried, unsuccessfully, to do it on my own since then. All the spa treatments they offer are aimed at rejuvenation and renewal. You can get almost any kind of mask, body wrap, or massage, including aroma therapy and hot stones. They also have a huge selection of facials, which will make your skin look way healthier. And you will feel so great afterwards, like poison has been drawn from you or something. It is truly an amazing experience, and sadly, one that doesn’t happen very often. Which could make it feel even better; who know.
It’s not all spa treatments. Panache does the full range of services, including cosmetology, tinting, waxing, manicures and pedicures, and hair styling. Their prices on everything ranges: some things are way cheaper than you’d expect, and some things are a bit more expensive. Hair cuts are very reasonable- everything is under $35, and you can get a quick trim for a mere $8, by a very professional and stylish crew. Their spa services also seem very reasonable for the industry. Most of the treatments seem to fall within the fifty to ninety dollar range, and for a full hour. That is pretty rare these days. And you can get a basic fifteen minute massage for fifteen bucks, which could be the best and most cost effective way to spend your lunch hour. They have a reputation for excellent colorist services. Hair coloring prices obviously depend on what you’re having done, and the length of your hair. Prices run from about $55-80, which is not a bad price for a good job.
Speaking from personal experience, this is a great place to go for a gift. The receiver of a gift certificate from Panache will be your biggest fan for the next few weeks- it did wonders for the relationship between my mother and I during her birthday month that year. And it is an indulgence that many people won’t engage in on their own. You can find something good for most price ranges, too. Anyone would love to get a gift certificate for a manicure. I’ve always thought that it would be a good place to go for a bride on her wedding day. She could get her hair done, her makeup done, and get all those wedding day jitters massaged out.
