IV. Assessment
I will assess my students by giving them the chicken and bean plant ditto. The students should be able to identify the 5 chicken parts and the 3 bean plant parts from day one. The students should also be able to label the remaining 6 chicken parts and 3 bean plant parts on the ditto. I will also check my students understanding of the lesson by having them fill out their bean plant booklet as homework.

V. Modifications
For my high level students I will have them complete the hatching the egg puzzle. This puzzle allows students to cut eggs into pieces. The students then take the pieces and try to make different kinds of chickens. For example, the pieces can make a chicken standing up or a chicken sitting down. This will allow the students to use their mind to create new shapes. There are over 50 outlines that can be made using this template. If I have several students that are on high level I will have the students work together to see who can find the most different ways of putting their egg together. The students will complete this activity after they have completed the chicken and bean plant worksheet.

For my low level students I will have them label the chicken and bean plant worksheet differently. I will have the students color the chicken parts different colors according to the word bank. For example, in the word bank I will have the word beck highlighted in red. The students will need to color the beck of the chicken red. I will do the same for the bean plant worksheet. For example, in the word bank I will have the word steam highlighted in brown. The students will need to color the stem brown.
