Plan a Fishing Trip to Table Rock Lake in Missouri

Fishing is one of the most relaxing things you can do, its quiet, calming, and gets you away from the daily grind we all call work. A fishing trip can be one of the best ways to get away from it all, and I say if you are going to plan a trip then make it a good one. Table Rock Lake is my lake of choice for anyone in the Midwest, a beautiful lake that has crystal clear water and is one of the largest lakes in the country. Table Rock boasts some of the best fishing in the country and has hosted many professional bass tournaments.

Located just outside of Branson, you can fish all day long and then at night you can go check out the city. There are so many things to do in Branson for the whole family that you can plan a fishing trip that doesn’t really seem like a fishing trip. While you fish, the family can go to Silver Dollar City, or check out Dixie Stampede, or just shop at the thousands of stores and shops in the city. Or the whole family can enjoy a multitude of activities on the lake, swimming, jet skiing, boating, etc.

So where can you stay and what types of fishing packages are available? Some of the best deals that I have found in the past were with Indian Points Resorts (www.indianpoint.com). They have three locations all right on the lake, with many different packages to choose from. You can make it a fishing only trip and go with just the guys, or you can make it an entertainment package and take the family. So while you are fishing the family can hang out and have a good time. The resorts have more than enough events and amenities to keep the family out of your hair while you fish the day away. With heated pools at all locations, hot tubs, game rooms, and restaurants the family is sure to be entertained.

If you and the guys want to get away from the wife and kids they have some fishing specific packages which are great deals. They include everything you need to get right on the lake and start catching fish. In the package you get lake front lodging, a boat with a 15hp motor and a trolling motor the whole time you are there, boat stalls in a covered and lighted dock, and even your fishing license is included, and a map of Table Rock Lake. For an additional $90 you can upgrade to a pro-style bass boat. All of this and the cost to you is only $35 to $44 dollars a day per person, and prices vary on the date you want to take your trip. You won’t find a better package anywhere that includes as much as Indian Point offers, I suggest you call and book your trip now.

Still Water Condominiums (http://www.stillwatersresort.com/) also has a large selection of rooms and rates and guest packages that are good deals. This one doesn’t have a package dedicated exclusively to fishing but they do offer a lot of different types of rooms that are beautiful and well priced.

This resort like Indian Point offers lots of amenities for you and your family while you are visiting. Packages that vary from Romantic getaways for lovers to family fun packages which include tickets to Silver Dollar City. You can choose what ever room or package that suites your needs. The one downfall is that the fishing package isn’t an option here so you have to pay for all the things that are necessary for your fishing trip. Some people already have all the equipment needed and might prefer this resort to Indian Point.

What ever your needs are one both of these resorts offer great deals.

Another route you and the guys might want to take is a guided fishing tour. This is a good idea if you aren’t the most avid fisherman and want to catch lots of fish on your fishing trip, because lets face it that is the point of a fishing trip. There are a couple of different guides in the Table Rock area, I suggest you check out their websites and decide which would suite your needs best.

One of the guided tours I suggest you check out is Hook’s Fishing Guide Service (http://www.hooksbass.com/). The guided fishing trip is a little more pricy but you will be taken out on the lake by a professional guide and all you need to bring is your fishing license and a rod. A perk of having a professional show you where and how to fish is that he is a professional, he knows what he is doing and knows how to fish the lake.

Don’t let the price scare you away at $325 for a full day of fishing for two people (8 hours of fishing). If you break it down its $160 per person and is only $20 dollars an hour. Don’t forget you have a professional fisherman giving you tips and taking you to his favorite hot spots on the lake. With a pro you are pretty much guaranteed that you will catch some fish and have some fun. Hook’s has different rates for different types of trips check out the website for the trip that suites you.

Table Rock also has Rick’s Chauffeured Fishing (http://www.strikebass.com/), which has five different guides you can choose from. All the guides have extensive credits that show why they are licensed guides and a very good choice for your guided fishing trip. They too offer many different fishing trip options and rates vary between $320 for a day to $220 for a half day. Check out the website and see if they are a good fit for you.

These are just some of the options that Table Rock has to offer there are more out there these just seemed like the best deals. Check it out and I hope you have a great fishing trip, Table Rock is a great lake and a lot of fun to fish!
