What Can I See From My Car?
Nestled in the deserts of Utah, Arches National Park is located near Moab, UT. Arches National Park presents a unique landscape. With over 2000 arches, it’s home to the most known arch formations in the world, as well as many other unique rock formations and desert landscapes.
The park road takes you past many of these amazing locations. Following the road will take you to some of the more popular arches such as Double Arch and Window Arch, which can all be seen from the viewpoints. You should be able to travel all of the paved roads in the park within 4 �½ hours, adding more time if you want to get out and walk around.
Where Can I Hike?
Arches National Park has a lot of great trails ranging from strolls to over-night backpacking events. If you don’t mind a little walk you can see Landscape arch, Sand Dune Arch and many others. You can walk to these arches or make a hike out of it if you want to continue on the trails that loop through many of the park attractions.
If you’re in for a more rigorous hike, getting an up close look at Delicate Arch is definitely worth it. To get to the arch you must hike up a large rock face and follow narrow, winding trails to get to the top. Once you get there, the view can’t be beat. Bring your camera to snap a picture of the most famous arch and one of the symbols of Utah.

Can I Camp?
Camping in designated areas is encouraged. Just remember that making a reservation in advance is the best way to go due to the popularity of the park. Camping out of bounds is restricted. Because it is a national park, dogs and other pets are not allowed on the trails. Pets may be in the parking lots, view areas, and campgrounds, but must be on leashes at all times. Be aware that it gets very hot in the desert areas, so leaving a pet in the car is not a good idea. Also be sure to carry water for your pet.
How Much Does it Cost?
With any national park, there are fees to enter. These fees go to maintaining the park and providing its staff. The cost of entering Arches National Park is $5 for an individual, which includes motorcycles, bicycles and walk-ins. This pass is good for 7 days. For a vehicle, which includes admission for all individuals in the car, it costs $10, also good for 7 days. There are also tour bus rates and season pass rates available.
Camping at the Devils Garden Campground costs $15 per night for individual camping sites that can house up to 10 people. For larger, group reservations there are campgrounds available at the Juniper Basin and Canyon Wren campsites. There is a $3/person fee with a minimum of $33.
