Plastic Surgeons for Cosmetic Surgery in the Kansas City Area
There were three surgeons that stuck out for me and I decided I would check out their websites and call their offices to get some information about them and their companies. Those three were Dana R. Towle M.D., Jeffrey W. Colyer M.D., and Gary D. Hall M.D., all located in the Kansas City area.
So let’s compare and contrast shall we? First all three have their own websites which helped me in choosing these three to write about. There are other doctors and I will provide you ways to find and contact them. These three surgeons have loads of information on their websites including information about procedures, recovery time, and most importantly their qualifications.
We can start with Dana R. Towle; He earned his medical degree in 1986 from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri, and completed his general surgery residency at St. Louis University. He then completed his plastic surgery residency through the University of Missouri-Kansas City at Truman Medical Center and Children’s Mercy Hospital as well as a hand fellowship. He is a qualified plastic surgeon and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is licensed in Kansas and Missouri and operates in accredited facilities in both states in order to accommodate his patients.
Dr. Towle’s specialty is in surgery that deals with the body and he specializes in Breast Augmentation, Breast Lift, Liposuction, and Tummy Tucks. So if it has to do with changing your body he has you covered. He also has extensive ability when it deals with surgery of the hand with over 15 different surgeries he is proficient in. Definitely a safe doctor that you can trust to get the job done, he has over 13 years of medical and surgical training, and this ensures he knows what he is doing.
I like Dr. Towle’s website (http://www.towlemd.com/ ), nothing to flashy just a simple website with all the information you need. You can check to see what surgeries he provides, his credentials, location, and the ability to submit a simple form with all the pertinent information about what you are interested. One thing I don’t like about the site is there is no information about cost, which this is universal for all the sites. You are required to first contact them with your interests and then they can give you an estimate based on the information you provide them. I attribute this to the fact that everyone is different and they can’t set one price when all bodies are different and need different care. Overall a good site and a great choice if you are looking into plastic surgery.
Dr. Colyer is next on the list; he got his Bachelor’s at Georgetown University in 1981, his Master’s at Cambridge University in 1982, and his Doctorate of Medicine from The University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1986. His residencies include time at The University of Missouri-Kansas City, 1991-1993 and Washington Hospital Center, 1986-1988 and 1989-1991. He also is certified with American Board of Plastic Surgery. And has too many memberships and honors to list but you can see them all on his website (http://www.renaissanceplasticsurgicalarts.com/ ).
In cosmetic surgery Dr. Coyler specializes in Facelifts, Liposuction, Abdominoplasty, Rhinoplasty, and Blepharoplasty. Dr. Coyler also specializes in procedures that deal with facial anomalies. Dr. Coyler has a vast knowledge of many different types of surgery and is proficient in all of them. He can do surgery dealing with the body, face, and even help with skin problems.
The website is very well laid out, easy to navigate and has the most information out of all the sites. He has the most procedures available to clients, which range from tummy tucks to permanent cosmetics such as eyeliner. Again no prices on the website you have to fill out the contact form and wait for more information on the procedure or you can call them the number is listed on the website. Like I said before price varies with all people because no two people are the same. This would be my top choice in physicians, because he has so much experience and is proficient in the most types of surgeries.
Dr. Hall is another distinguished surgeon, his education started in 1981 where he majored in pre-pharmacy at Northwest Missouri State University. Then he continued and received a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1984. He received his doctorate in Medicine from the University of Kansas in 1988. Dr. Hall is like the others certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is licensed for practice in Missouri and Kansas.
Dr. Hall’s resume includes many honors, certifications, awards, and publications. If you are interested in seeing them you should check out his website (http://www.hallmd.com/ ). His website is decent not as nice as the others, could use some better layout but has all the information you are looking for. Dr. Hall specializes in surgery of the body as well, and offers a wide variety of surgeries to choose from. He has a photo gallery of some of his past work which I think is a key feature to his website, it shows potential clients what he is capable of and what they can expect for results. He too has a contact form you must fill out in order to get more information about pricing and operations, a very simple form which I like, makes me do less work.
Dr. Hall seems like a good choice as a surgeon he has extensive training and has worked closely with other physicians training so that he can be the best at what he does. He also has advanced certification in cosmetic surgery of the abdomen, so if I want a tummy tuck I am coming to this guy.
All these doctors are well trained and seem to have had happy customers. You can check out their websites and see which you think can do the best job for you. There are other doctors in the area; you can find them in various ways. A couple of good sites I found that list surgeons in your area are (http://www.plastic-surgeon-directory.com/) and (http://www.lookingyourbest.com/ ). You can browse these search engines and get information to contact other local surgeons and you can compare what they have to offer.
