Times have changed and woman are now more independant which has resulted in the household chores becoming less divided by gender. With the family structure changing woman are now increasingly completing projects traditionally undertaken by men and with that comes the use of power tools. Manufacturers are now having to come to grips with the fact that power tools are no longer solely for men.

Women can and do operate most any power tool but the reality is women are typically not as strong as their male counterpart. This line of tools has been created by 5 women from the university of Kansas. The idea behind Savvy Tools is to build an entire line of power tools for women in the hope of promoting safety and making them less intimidating. Bulky power tools can be awkward for the fairer sex to use and many women will be put off using them for this reason.

A power tool for a woman must be designed to help complete projects efficiently and safely. Manufacturers need to bear this in mind and any manufacturer who takes womens requirements in the power tool field seriously will bring in handsome profits.
