Product Review: Hitachi C10FL Table Saw
The Hitachi C10FL is equipped with a 15-amp induction motor. Although the company states that the motor offers 3hp, it is really offers about 1.5hp. Also, the motor is inside of the cabinet instead of hanging off of the back like many other designs. This makes the table saw much more convenient to store or fit into tight spaces.
The table saw offers control knobs for the blade tilt and height adjustment right up front. Therefore, you don’t have to learn around the side of the machine to adjust settings like you do with some other designs. The blade is only capable of tilting to the left. Also, the Hitachi C10FL displays the bevel angle via a small viewer located on top of the table.
Speaking of the table, the Hitachi C10FL comes standard with a 27 inch x 40 inch table top. The table top also provides an extension wing. The table is constructed of cast iron. However, the extension wing isn’t constructed of cast iron, so it’s less durable. The table-top provides an adjustable miter gauge.
The Hitachi C10FL provides a maximum rip width of about 24 inches. When the blade is tilted to 90 degrees, it offers a maximum cutting capacity of 3 3/8-inch. When the blade is at 45 degrees, the table saw offers a maximum cutting capacity of 2 1/4-inch.
Another useful feature of the Hitachi C10FL is the mobile enclosed base. The base is equipped with an integrated wheel system. This allows you to move the table saw around your work area easily. You also won’t make a big mess in your work area due to the fact that the Hitachi C10FL also offers dust collection.
If you’re in the market for a table saw, then you should consider buying the Hitachi C10FL.
