Product Review: Holmes Quartz Tower Heater Model HQH319A
The Holmes Quartz Tower Heater Model HQH319A is an excellent heater. It stands approximately two feet tall. It has focused radiant energy which provides instant, sun-like comfortable warmth. It has a one touch electronic thermostat that sets the comfort level easily. A single button sets the desired temperature and heat settings. The heater is very lightweight, and has an indented space in the back for use as a handle. This makes it a breeze to move around when you need to, without struggling with the weight of larger heaters, or worrying about burning yourself, like you would on the boxy heaters that don’t come with handles. This also has the tip-over safety protection, that automatically turns the heater off if accidentally tipped over. This can be a real relief when you have your heater in a home with pets and/or children.
This Holmes heater also has many fabulous safety features, as well. It comes equipped with an ALCI Safety plug, which shuts off the heater instantly if immersed in water. It also has an auto safety shut-off. This allows the heater to shut off automatically in an overheat scenario. It has a caution light that illuminates in an overheat situation, and a manual user reset button, that requires the user to manually reset the heater if it shuts off due to an overheat incident. This prevents unintended operation after auto shut-off. The heater is encased in a cool touch plastic housing. This allows for safe portability and placement in the room, and also makes the unit lightweight. The plastics used are flame resistant V2 rated plastics.
Besides all of these great features, there is the price to also take note of. I bought my heater online for around $40 plus shipping. The one I bought my Mom a year prior was around $60. I do not consider these prices too high, when you consider all you get for the money, and on top of that, the trusted Holmes brand name, with over 20 years of experience developing, engineering, and testing heaters. When comparing this to another heater of equal or greater cost, such as the Vornado, which cost me around $80, I feel that I got so much more value for my money with the purchase of this Holmes Quartz Tower Heater. I would most definitely recommend purchasing the Holmes Quartz Tower Heater Model HQH319A to anyone looking for a radiant tower heater. It has been put to the test by myself, my mother, her painter, and his son, and we have all been more than pleased with our purchase. The Holmes brand name means a lot to me. I have several of their products, and they have always performed well for me, and I have no complaints. I feel that you get an excellent value for your money with a purchase of a Holmes product.
